How to Understand the KJB #17
Commandments of Paul - Part I - Introduction
We begin a new segment of Paul's preaching.  We will look at the commandments that the Risen Christ gave to Paul to pass on to us.  This is where it gets harder for the Christian. Paul's doctrine is great and marvelous; but reproof isn't all that enjoyable for many.  However, who wants to be told directly what to do?  Few people are willing these days to do anything other than what they want to do themselves!  However, I don't think you will find these commandments grievous!  It should be joy & peace to serve the Living Saviour, however, we need to learn that in order to serve Him, it should done His way!  We look first at the simple scriptural fact that Paul's commandments were given to him by the Risen Saviour.

Commandments of Paul - Part II
We look specifically at 7 commandments that Paul tells us to do.  Be thou...; Speak boldly; Be able to admonish and be admonished; Abhor evil; Walk not as a lost person; Do all things without murmuring and disputings; Wait patiently for our hope and salvation.

Commandments of Paul - Part III
Tonight, we add to our "pattern list" the way Paul tells us how to handle 'others'.   Does Paul always use grace?  No - see more of what Paul shows us as well as tells us to do when it comes to others whom we care about but who don't seem to care about what we are trying to show them.

Commandments of Paul - Part IV
Tonight, we look more into those "do's" that Paul puts our way.  We only look at two of them, though - 1) Let Your Conversation Be As It Becometh the gospel of Christ - we look at what gospel that is; 2) Receive Epaphroditus - who is this man?  Do we have any Epaphroditus's today?  We do here in Touchet - our web family has some Epaphroditus's - praise the Lord for them!

Commandments of Paul - Part VI
Continuing on with another 'do' from Paul, we are reminded about 'strife' and 'vainglory.'  We also look at 'walking by the same rule' - if you know what that rule is.

I switched the #22 and #21 around.  After I had finished writing 21 & 22, I changed my mind as to which one would be for SS and did more preaching in twenty one, so it was given the pulpit time and 22 was done earlier in SS class.

Commandments of Paul - Part V
Again, earlier this week, I had about 7 or 8 subjects to look at; however, I ended up with one and just expanded on that somewhat with more Scripture. That ye may approve things that are excellent!  Lack of discernment is a serious problem with Christians today.  With all being bombarded with teachings towards 'tolerance' and anti-discrimination, we see that discernment is quickly being ignored - especially by Christians.  What sayest the Scriptures from Paul on 'approving things that are excellent?'

The 'Power' in "Simply Doing Right"
With all the books trying & lying about the supposed Godly 'power' in our lives, I figured we ought to look at the power IN simply doing right.  The 'Christian' books all seem to be using Bible psychology (very little if any actual Bible) as they try to pamper and direct our flesh - our old man.  Simply following Paul's 'commandments' show us the way of doing right.  It certainly shouldn't take the power of God to simply do right - but there are certainly great results from doing right!  Here are some of the benefits / results of 'simply doing right.'

Commandments of Paul - Part VII
I.  Who are these "dogs," "evil workers," and the "concision?"  What is it that they do that makes them so dangerous and wrong?  How does God / the KJB describe them?
II.  Follow Paul?  What exactly does that mean?  You are willing to mark those that do follow Paul, but are you equally willing to mark and note those that cause divisions and offences by not following Paul - no matter who they are in your personal life?

Commandments of Paul - Part VIII
We finish Philippians - hopefully, anyway.  Our topics today are: "Rejoice Alway" (why 'alway' and not 'always?'); "Let your moderation be known unto all men" (what that does 'not' mean, too); and if time allows, how to "Be careful for nothing!"
I know this may be too much and too fast, but I believe we are running out of time - so if you really to grasp this stuff, then print the notes, do your own personal study, and allow God to show you where you are lacking in your faith or being otherwise minded.

Why Do WE Struggle So?
So, we are of those who understand rightly dividing and to follow the Risen Christ through Paul, etc.  So why do we still struggle?  Well, do we think we are so special that we won't have the struggle?  What is it that 'lights' up our struggle mode?  Maybe it is the light itself - and our flesh just isn't happy about it at all.  Maybe we still can't let go of our flesh - even though we have been cut away from it - we still try to hang on to it?

What the True Light Exposes in OUR Lives?
Could this be the reason we struggle so: the true light - when rightly divided, exposes a number of things in our life - things we would rather either ignore or just keep the same!  In order for us to turn from darkness to light, we must let the light expose the darkness - in OUR own lives, no one else's!  Here ae some specific things the light exposes in our lives. (PS - the sound is off up to 2:47 on the video - sorry about that!  Now I have to learn how to edit video.)

Commandments of Paul - Part IX
We look at what Christians are to 'bear.'  We don't do all that is covered in the notes, but what we do cover is important to the sincere and serious Christian.  You can do your own personal study with the rest of the notes.  In the audio, we look at 1) bearing the name of the Risen Christ; 2) bearing a good conscience; 3) bearing a zeal of God; bearing MEAT and we define what 'meat' is and isn't; we also look at 3) bearing with Paul as our apostle and master-builder!

Commandments of Paul - Part X
#20,21
Paul tells us,  now that we are saved, that we should walk worthy of the Lord.  Note that it doesn't say worthy 'for' the Lord or worthy to 'receive the Lord,' but instead, it says 'of' the Lord.  Is that even possible?  Sure!  We also look at how to 'walk in him,' as Paul commands us to do.

The World - In or Out?
See and hear the difference in our relationship with the world when compared to the Gospels and Tribulation.  It seems that most 'serious' Bible Christians today think we are to stay away from the world or we are enemy of God.  Not true - but Paul, along with telling us we must be 'out there,' he does warn us about it.

Let us not / let no one... means for us to actually STOP someone from trying to teach us wrongly - or they challenge what we believe.  My question is, "Do you / Can you stop folks when they attack / challenge your belief on the risen Christ and the apostle Paul?"  "Let no one..." means to not let them!

Paul Disputes With the Apostles
As Do We with the Great Commission People
There is only a basic outline available as this was done more from the 'heart, I suppose. Anyway, we learn from Paul as he disputed with Peter, James and John - you know, those three in that famous sailboat kids song that we should not have taught to our children.  Just see how the Scriptures take us through his disputings and you will recognize that what happened then with Paul STILL happens today as we try to show the Risen Saviour through Paul to the Great Commission folks.

The Sermon on the Mount More Perfectly
Introduction
The Sermon on the Mount, which includes the infamous Beatitudes are not TO us.  Unfortunately, most Christians still think they are teachings they should try to fulfill in their walk of a Christian.  They ought to look at what Paul says about the same 'subjects.'  Once again, we see how "Christians" are being cheated out of what the Risen Christ teaches TO us today, through Paul.

The Sermon on the Mount More Perfectly
Part I - Matthew 5:1-4
We begin this series by looking through the Beatitudes.  We look at verses 1-4 - there is SO much more from Paul's Epistles!  What the Jews had to consider was all based on their works - plus it was all to deal with the kingdom of heaven while Paul's concern is the kingdom of God!

Part II - Matthew 5:5,6
We begin this series by looking through the Beatitudes.  We look at verses 5,6 - meekness today?  Must we turn our other cheeks - and cower down as a Christian towards others and agree with them to keep peace?  If you think so, you will be surprised!
