How To Understand the King James 1611 Bible

This is a series of sermons for folks who think the King James Bible is confusing, contradictory and archaic.
The KJB is not only the easiest bible to read, it is the easiest to understand.
The KJB is God's Holy Scriptures and is the ONLY Holy Scripture!
Here is how it can be so simply understood:

Commandments from the Risen Christ to Paul and On To Us Today
Part VI
(more from Philippians)

And we have confidence in the Lord touching you,
that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
II Thessalonians 3:4
For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you,
and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;
I Thessalonians 1:9
Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me,
DO and the God of peace shall be with you.

12. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory...

Philippians 2:3-8 - Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Definition:

Vainglory - Exclusive vanity excited by one’s own performances
Strive - To make efforts; to use exertions; to endeavor with earnestness; to labor hard; 2. To contend; to contest; to struggle in

opposition to another; to he in contention or dispute.

Christ did it for us, so can we for others also?
Not to strive... certain situations:

II Timothy 2:23-26 - But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
II Timothy 2:14 - Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.

Yes to strive... certain situations:

Romans 15:30 - Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;
Philippians 1:27 - Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
Colossians 1:29 - Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

Don't destroy the work of God...

Romans 14:20: For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.

Just remember to follow Paul's pattern: Depart; Despise; Destroy; Prayer; Tears; Grace; Truth; Mercy; Longsuffering; Patience; Reprove; Rebuke; Get away (Avoid; withdraw from such; not strive; neither give heed; purge; reject; be not partakers; mark; note them; have no company; not to company with; put away from among yourselves; cast off; have no fellowship); Deliver them unto Satan ...

You are not better and stronger than God / Paul, etc. so...

...don't try to be the tolerating passionate Christian forever... and watch them destroy you, your family, the church, etc.

Try to reach folks, but don't strive - when you need to, not if or when you want to... then move along or move yourself along!

Remember God in Proverbs 1:23-33

Not about an individual, but the Gentile nation

Jesus is not 'tarrying'

John 21:22 - Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.
I Timothy 3:15 - But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

13. Walk by the same rule...

Philippians 3:16 - Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.
What rule?

3:13-16 - Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.
