• II Corinthians 12:20 - For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:

• I Timothy 2:8 - I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

• no, look at verse 9 to women in relation to their verses in 9-12, 'in like manner..."

• holy hands?
• men - the workers, the doer's, the responsible, etc.
• without doubting?
• Study - read - be willing to unlearn anything that does not match with Paul's teachings!
• Any doubt certainly would not be God's fault!
• God is not the author of confusion!
• Your pastor could be you have doubt; you yourself could be; those books you read 'about' the Bible can cause confusion; those TV religious programs; those 'relatives;' those friends you don't want to lose; your lack of ability to believe and show others with confidence and assurance...
• without wrath?
• Is there anything that Paul preaches that would put us to anger?  wrath?
• Paul teaches us that we are not to be concerned about God's wrath - His longsuffering towards the lost is HIS business, as is His increase!
• So, why do we think OUR wrath is anything special?
• Can our wrath be better than His?

• His personal life history?
• Details of his daily life in Acts and then the details of how his own brethren loved him less, how he became the enemy by telling Jews AND Gentiles the truth about the RISEN Christ, etc.)
• His teachings being rightly divided?
• leads to riches of Scriptural understanding of what is TO us and FOR us.
• His doctrine?
• way of God more perfectly, a more excellent way, you wouldn't want Acts 26:18?
• His reproofs?
• with tears, calls it folly, comes to warn, not shame!
• His corrections?
• are there to build us up from the true foundation of Christ - to keep us from 'earning' wood, hay and stubble! - Paul is the master builder!
• His instruction in righteousness?
• his do's and don't's, God of peace be upon you!
• His do's and don't's?
• his manner of life - we can do all, but won't - but the Great Commission do's and don't's we can't, but folks try to!

• Colossians 3:8 - But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
• Ephesians 4:31 -  Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
• Ephesians 4:26,27 -  Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.

• Galatians 5:19-21 - Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like:
• Romans 7:23 - But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

• I Thessalonians 4:8 - For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.

• Romans 12:19 - Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

• Ephesians 6:4 - And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

• Romans 4:15 - Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.
• People still tend to look to Paul as 'his own laws of do's and don't's now!
• What you hear and believe and then accept by faith, and then you will grow up as you read and study and hear!
• 1 Corinthians 13:11 - When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
• Ephesians 4:14 - That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
• Pride- Proverbs 13:10 - Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.
• We oppose ourselves! II Timothy 2:24-26 - And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
• Folks don't understand Paul's ways and manner of life yet...
• fight the flesh
• pleases God
• edify others
• not cause others to stumble
• prosper testimony of grace and truth
• etc.

Wisdom of Solomon concerning anger and no wrath!

• Proverbs 11:23 - The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.
• Proverbs 14:17 - He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.
• Proverbs 14:29 - He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
• Proverbs 15:1 - A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
• Proverbs 15:18 - A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.
• Proverbs 16:32 - He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.
• Proverbs 19:11 - The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.
• Proverbs 21:19 - It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.
• Proverbs 21:24 - Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath.
• Proverbs 22:24 - Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go:
• Proverbs 29:22 - An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression.
• Proverbs 30:33 - Surely the churning of milk bringeth forth butter, and the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood: so the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife.
