King James described many of the “rites and secrets of these unlawful arts” practiced by witches. He warned sternly against the making of “circles” and of evil spirits called “Brownies.” Today unthinking Scout and ‘Brownie’ troop leaders (and even liberal pastors) encourage the witches’ practice of ‘holding hands in a circle.’ He writes, “This spirit they called Brownie in our language ... appeared in time of Papistry and blindness, and haunted houses...”.

Of the work of Romish exorcists, he states: “So many of them to be counterfeit, which the Clergy invents for confirming of their rotten Religion.” “The Papist church, whom we counting as Heretics” “commonly counterfeits God.” “We read of Monasteries of nuns which were burnt for their being...” involved with devils.

He also warns, “Prophecies and visions are now ceased, all spirits that appear in these forms are evil.” He found that two “symptoms” of devil possession were “incredible strength” and “...the speaking of sundrie languages which, the patient is known, by them that were acquainted with him, never to have learned...” (Daemonlolgie).

Well, let's remember that even Paul said he had not attained yet, but that he was looking forward to reaching more.  Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.  Philippians 3:12  All for the glory of God and for all of what Christ did to, for and with Paul.

Make an effort - extend yourself - go beyond what you have been.
The Christian life is still about walking a holy walk BECAUSE you are holy, not to be considered Holy - and no matter what the new preachers are saying, there is a walk that God would have us walk - and it is through Jesus Christ but it is what is preached to us by Paul!

Rick Warren and all the newbie preachers ought to read Jeremiah 23:16,17 - Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.  They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.
 

The King James Bible as Our Bulwarks!
Psalm 48:13 - Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.
Bulwark:
1.  In fortification, a bastion, or a rampart; a mound of earth round a place, capable of resisting cannon shot, and formed with bastions, curtains, &c.
2.  A fortification; also, any means of defense;
3.  That which secures against an enemy or external annoyance; a screen or shelter; means of protection and safety.
...salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks. Isaiah 26:1b.

The King James Bible is our bulwark - our strength - our bastion - our fortification.  It is God's Words to us!

Psalm 73:26 - My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
Psalm 78:4 - We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.

Jeremiah 23:18 - For who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD, and hath perceived and heard his word?  who hath marked his word, and heard it?

Marks of Jesus Christ are the same marks of the King James Bible in our lives!

Marks:
    losing friends - that hurts - they don't understand!
    losing relative closeness - - that hurts - they don't understand!
    some of the better jobs, etc. - that hurts!
    one income family  - that is difficult!
    woman at home - that is difficult!
    homeschooling - that involves much sacrifice - lot of work to do it correctly, anyway!
    proper hair - that gets comments - you are the one different these days!
    proper outward appearance - that gets comments - you are the one different these days - and is expensive, actually!
    proper inward appearance outward - that comes with's challenges - we must 'study' to do some of those things!
    church attendance - that demands committment!
    things you don't do anymore - that becomes a real battle at times!
    personal inner battles - that can be a struggle!
    alternative lifestyle - CHRISTIAN! - that is becoming illegal and unwanted publically!
    a different approach now to media and Hollywood, TV, etc. - few understand your position - cuts out on personal entertainment
    source of one's joy, strength, power, right and wrong, etc. - that is not understood by most - you are labled cultic and a Book worshipper, etc.!

All that we are seeing more and more of in today's Christianity are marks of the antichrist!

    prayer circles - modern 'religion' - godliness without the power thereof...
    power of music
    being led by the spirit
    knowledge without the Bible
    healings
    miracles
    wonders
    signs
    religion and politics
    increase in attendance numbers
    mega churches
    new music in the churches

Revelation 20:10-15 - And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.  And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.  And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Daniel 7:9,10 - I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.  A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.
