Genesis / Exodus
As we are often accused of reading only Paul's Epistles,
etc. let it be known that we do preach, study and read the whole entire
King James Bible. We do realize, however, that the whole Bible is
not TO us! That is only obvious, one would think, anyway.
We preach and teach what is TO us and what is FOR us!
There is a difference!
So, for these lessons, we will see a few things that we can get from
the other Books of the Bible - the ones that Paul did NOT write TO us!
By the way, we are not looking at verse by verse details - we are just
looking at what we can get FROM those books
in a manner that is FOR us.

learn from!

Genesis

Creation - includes many things FOR us. Fall of man - sin - curses
- design of marriage - sinners because of Adam, not just because we do
bad things ourselves, etc.

Noah - rainbow - God's promises - three races - history of music, etc.

Tower of Babel - languages, etc. One voice versus many voices, etc.

Abraham - Jews - Ishmael and the Arab conflict today, etc.

Sodom and Gomorra - will be another serious issue in the Tribulation (we
are getting closer and closer in that one, eh!)

Who was in the kitchen with Dinah...
-
Joseph and his brothers - patience, forgiveness, etc.
...and more - Genesis is full of things FOR us to know about today!
Exodus
-
God hears our prayers and our cryings, but doesn't always answer them on
the spot...
-
1:12 - rough times can make us stronger!

Miracles - visions - signs
-
What God thinks of murmuring and whining, eh!

The Law - 10 commandments or MORE... However, there are only 9 commandments
today from Paul... leaving out the holy Sabbath commandment! And
even at that, do you know what Paul teaches TO us about the law?

Original purpose of ear piercing - Exodus 21:5,6

Capital Punishment 21:12, but why not
the rest? see 14-17

Also read 22:18-20; 22-24,25; 29-31.

Those laws are lot of what our country's righteous laws were designed after
- but how come not ALL the laws... We see a great example of picking
and choosing.

Tabernacle and ark - the details, etc. for a 'real' temple of God - not
the stuff we build today...

Noise of war - were them that SING - the music was an issue even back then
with Moses' folks.

Moses up and down the mountain a number of times - not just twice, etc.
...and more things that YOU have learned FROM Exodus in your own life -
but you don't have to try to apply those things as TO you. Just learn
from history. Unfortunately, we continue to learn from history that
we don't learn from history!
