Part XXIV
Preached May 20, 2007
Our Proper Desire that will Help us Endure Sound Doctrine!
You know - Paul - King James Bible - 1611, nothing before and nothing after...
That which is TO us but still aware and learning all that is FOR us!

Hope deferred maketh the heart sick:
but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.
Proverbs 13:12
Desire: an emotion or excitement of the mind, directed to the attainment or possession of an object from which pleasure, sensual, intellectual or spiritual, is expected; a passion excited by the love of an object, or uneasiness at the want of it, and directed to its attainment or possession.
Desire: is expressed by longing or reaching toward, and when it is ardent or intense, it approaches to longing.  1828
Do you at least have a desire... to really get this stuff today from Paul - or do you just lack desire?

Paul had been hindered to see these Gentiles - but now, he can finally fulfil his desires to see them..  Romans 15:20-23, 32,33

Let's look at our desires towards Sound Doctrine as they should be...
...are we being hindered...
...or are we just hindering ourselves because of a lack of desire...
... or do we have the right desire - a desire to endure sound doctrine - KJB - through Paul?

First, words to those that desire the law - the Great Commission - the Tribulation books.  You know, those that are led of God - led by the Lord - honourable and devout - those that follow their religion more than the Book these days, etc.
I.  Earnest desire towards Paul's preaching / teaching / books / KJB! (The "Greater Commission" and even going "Beyond Paul" today with that which is perfect!) II.  Has Paul's stuff wrought in you a vehement desire to be clear in this matter of being preached to in a hard manner?

Or are these verses about you?
The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing:
but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.
Proverbs 13:4
The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul:
but it is abomination to fools to depart from evil.
Proverbs 13:19
