Desire: an emotion or excitement of the mind, directed to the attainment or possession of an object from which pleasure, sensual, intellectual or spiritual, is expected; a passion excited by the love of an object, or uneasiness at the want of it, and directed to its attainment or possession.
Desire: is expressed by longing or reaching toward, and when it is ardent or intense, it approaches to longing.  1828

Paul had been hindered to see these Gentiles - but now, he can finally fulfil his desires to see them..  Romans 15:20-23, 32,33

• Galatians 4:21 - Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?
• Have you read the Gospels?  How about Matthew 5-7?
• How about 5:9,10,18,19-20,22,25,29,30,33-37,39,40,44-45,48 - should I go on?  6:7,14-15,17-18,25 and on and on...
• You really do those things?  You can't pick and choose - all or none!
• Hebrews?  James? I John 3?  etc.
• Do you really think your righteousness will bring Psalms to life for God's physical blessings?
• Surely you have read ALL of Leviticus and Deuteronomy, etc. for the details showing the absolute holiness of the law...
• How do you explain the differences between the Gospels and Hebrews through Jude with Paul's Epistles?  You do know what Paul says about that which is preached to the Gentiles that goes against what he preaches... another gospel - another spirit - another Jesus  - a false gospel!  Do you not see that?
• oh, you don't read Paul's stuff, eh?  Oh, your pastor doesn't preach Paul's stuff, eh?
• No wonder you are having such a hard time with this...

• II Corinthians 7:6,7 - Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;  And not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more.
• Earnest desire for: Philippians 4:9?  Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
• Earnest desire for: I Corinthians 4:17?  For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.
• Earnest desire for: I Thessalonians 4:1,2?  Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.
• Romans through to Philemon?
• Earnest desire for wisdom and spiritual understanding?  Colossians 1:9: For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
• Earnest desire to see the answers to all of his prayers for you and for your family?
• Earnest desire?  Really? For Colossians 2:2? That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
• Earnest desire to NOT have your mind corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.  (II Corinthians 11:3)

• II Corinthians 7:11 - For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge!
