What If There Was No Birth of Jesus?
|
Romans 3:3,4 -
For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of
God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar;
as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest
overcome when thou art judged.
People don't want to believe anything anymore - but that doesn't change
the truth of what God said - today, they don't even KNOW what God has said.
He is totally the unknown God to them! Acts
17!
They can't believe or trust God anyway - They have no clue about His
way more perfectly!
There are a lot of folks who live like there is no truth - no Jesus
birth - no Jesus period - they have no life!!
But to you and me - and us here in our little church
family?
It's been a "wonderful life" ... Because of
a wonderful Saviour and His wonderful Book!
And ... because of the person and teachings of Paul!
Philippians 4:9
Those things, which ye have both learned,
and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall
be with you.
But what if...
Jesus hadn't been born?
-
We would still be counting on OT communications from God - visions, dreams,
miracles, healings and wonders!
-
Still looking for the Messiah, but hey, it wouldn't be a concern for us,
anyway!
-
We would have no OT ensample to learn from - WE WOULD BE THAT ENSAMPLE
EXAMPLE!
-
I would have to be doing 'horrible' object lessons for my sermons!
-
Always in fear of God's judgment - fear of being killed!!!
What it...
There were no Major and Minor prophets?
-
They wouldn't have preached to us, anyway! We would be dogs and heathen!
-
We would have to follow science (Job)!
-
We would probably just be like his friends, anyway!
-
We wouldn't have to wash our hands (Job) but we would all be plagued and
sick all the time!
-
We would have no example or preaching about following or not following
God's words (Jeremiah) - and besides, it would not be to us, anyway!
-
We would have no example of how to repair and rebuild our homes and lives
(Nehemiah)!
-
We would not have any idea what to expect of the enemy! (Nehemiah)
Hey - WE would have been the enemy!!!
-
We would have to experience a famine of not hearing God's words! (Amos)
- we hey, we wouldn't have been listening anyway!
What if...
There was no Moses?
-
Jews would still be in bondage!
-
Wouldn't bother us - we would still be the heathen!
-
There would be no law!
-
We would be going by conscience anyway!
-
There would have been no schoolmaster for today to lead folks to Christ
- who wouldn't have been born, anyway!
What if...
There was no Abraham?
-
Genesis 12 / 16
-
No Jews / Arab conflict!
-
All would be heathen, not just us!
-
All on conscience!
What if...
There was no Tower of Babel!
-
Genesis 11:1-9
-
We would all be of one language!
-
My, oh my, what could we have done if we had only one language! (just
what they tried to do!)
What if...
No Noah's ark?
-
There would be no rainbow.
-
There would be no rain.
-
There would have been violence and giants, etc. Genesis
6:1-7
-
We would have had to walk righteously according to our conscience, as did
Noah!
-
There would not be three races - one blessed with inventions, discoveries,
music.
-
No civilized civilization, either!
What if...
There was no Fall from Adam and Eve?
-
No curses - ladies, men or even the world!
-
Men would be great leaders and women would follow!
-
No meat eating... plenty of fish but who would care! We would have
great nurseries for food supply!
-
No death!
-
No sin!
What if...
There was no Creation?
-
duh!
-
We would be from rock to rock - from nothing to nothing!
-
Maybe you would have a great past life only to be given a rotten one now!
-
Maybe your next life will be REALLY rotten! Maybe you men will be
a woman next time... or a cat... or a skunk... or a politician... or even
a musician!
-
Evolutionists, Psychologists and Professors would be right and Dr. Hovind
would be wrong!
But without Jesus / The Word - there couldn't have
been a beginning
because Jesus Christ is the one who made it all!
Ephesians 3:9
Colossians 1:16,17
So if there was no Word - John 1
- we wouldn't be here!
So why not trust Him today - it is by Him that
you are even here!
You might as well listen up! Believe and trust!
But... what if... after Jesus was born - God manifest Himself on this
earth, etc. that there was...
No sinless 'life & walk of Christ?'
-
We wouldn't have a clean / pure / righteous record to have imputed to us!
-
There would not have been prophesy fulfilled - just another teacher, like
they say!
-
We would be told to follow him but why would we be try?
-
If so, we would have to give it all up!
-
We would have to confess daily for forgiveness!
-
Hey - wait - we would still be a dog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
He wouldn't even be talking with or to us!
What if...
No crucifixion?
-
No blood shed!
-
No New Testament!
-
Would have to listen to the Jews who would witness to us!
-
We wouldn't have the life we have today!
-
People wouldn't want what we have today!
-
We would have to be baptized and that would be for remission only - and
even at that, still have to follow the Jewish way!
What if...
Ok, there was Jesus born - there was the crucifixion - there was the
resurrection, etc.
But now what if...
There was no resurrection? There
was no cross - nothing beyond the cross! (No Abraham's bosom story in Luke
16, either)
Mary had touched His feet?
Jesus didn't try to offer Himself again through Peter
and Stephen?
They hadn't killed Stephen?
We would still be dogs!
Ok - what if...
There was no Paul?
-
We would be Catholics following Peter and John!
-
We would be in the Great Commission still!
-
People would follow the great personalities and 'blessed' anointed ones!
-
We would still be dogs!
-
We would not know what Christ did for the Gentiles...
-
We would have a smaller Bible!
-
We would be confused, feeling guilty, confessing, angry, and just a mess
unless we were walking perfect!
What if...
There was no KJB?
-
We would still be doing those things 'in part!'
-
We would have no clue about anything unless God gave it to us - based on
our walk...
-
I would have no knowledge of the truth!
-
I would not know if what would be 'working in me' was from God or another
Jesus / another Spirit, etc.
-
I would not know about the antichrist - which Jesus is the right one, etc.
-
I could be easily tricked by false Christ and false teachers, etc.
What if...
There was no rightly dividing?
-
an increase of ungodliness! profane and
vain babblings everywhere!
What if...
No Hebrews to Jude and Revelation?
-
I would have no future awareness!
-
I would have to totally rely on a preacher or prophet...
-
There would be no fear of God anywhere!
What if...
-
There would have been no situation that led you to a place
in your life where you trusted in Christ?
-
What if you had not done whatever studying or reading
you have done up to this point in your life?
-
What if there was no 2006 - 2005, etc.
-
What if some of us who are here were not here now?
What if...
There was no eternity -
-
...you would be a 7th Adventist - or a JW!
-
You would end up as dust again - or maybe another animal, etc. or a weed,
or a spec of moisture on Mars!
Do you have more of your own "What if's" to ask yourself?
What a waste this life could have been!
No, folks! We have truly had a wonderful life -
we have learned a lot - been through a lot. But we DO HAVE AN GREATER
FUTURE - and yet, some of it is going to be determined on what we do today!
This wonderful life we life today must be HIS LIFE!
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless
I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:
and the life which I now live in the flesh
I live by the faith of the Son of God,
who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20
Always bearing about in the body the dying
of the Lord Jesus,
that the life also of Jesus might be made
manifest in our body.
For we which live are alway delivered unto
death for Jesus' sake,
that the life also of Jesus might be made
manifest in our mortal flesh.
II Corinthians 4:10,11
And because of what He did do for us, we ought to try to return our
thanks and our efforts TO PLEASE HIM!
Don't ya think?
How do you know what to do?
Read the Book while you still have one! KJB rightly divided,
of course!
Only by trusting Jesus Christ through this KJB rightly
divided...
...can you have a wonderful life today - AND tomorrow!
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended:
but this one thing I do,
forgetting those things which are behind,
and reaching forth unto those things which
are before,
Philippians 3:13
