| How
Do We Walk With God Today? |
For I through the law am dead to the
law, that I might live unto God.
Galatians 2:19
In the recent Bible Conference I preached at, I heard another pastor ask
during an invitation: "Have you been walking with God lately?"
I ask, "Does anyone know what that means?
-
How do we walk with God?
-
Can we walk away from God?
-
Can we not walk with God at times?
-
Does anyone know the details on how to please God in our walk?
Does it mean to:
-
win souls?
-
church attendance?
-
follow your preacher?
-
follow Jesus' teachings?
-
follow Jesus' footsteps?
-
follow Jesus' example?
-
witness to others?
-
hand out tracts?
-
street preach?
Then I heard the same preacher ask: "What does God want from man?
He wants to walk with man again!"
The obvious answer here to both questions is: Follow Paul's Teachings!

It is amazing how close yet how far people are from God today - and the
solution is right in the NT with Paul, as he shows us how to follow the
RISEN CHRIST!
It was Paul's desire to show us
how to serve the living God!
II Corinthians 6:16 - we are the
temple of God!
I Timothy 4:10 - our trust is in
the living God!
I Timothy 6:17 - trust in the living
God!
Acts 26:18-20 - Paul's goal - for
us to turn to God - from the power of Satan unto God.
Of course, we walk with God - He is in us!
Romans 6:10,11 - through Jesus Christ
II Corinthians 4:10,11
Galatians 2:19 - we are live unto
God!
For I through the law am dead to the law,
that I might live unto God.
So, how do we live unto God, according to Paul?

Romans 6:13 - Yield your members unto
righteousness!

Romans 7:4 - Bring fruit unto God

Philippians 4:6; II Timothy 1:3 - prayer
without ceasing! night and day, Paul prayed!

Acts 16:25 - Sing praises unto God!

Ephesians 5:20 - Give thanks!

Philippians 4:20 - Give God the glory!

II Timothy 2:15,16 - Study rightly
divided word of truth - not to be ashamed!

Romans 7:25 - through Jesus Christ

I Thessalonians 1:9 - Follow Paul's
epistles
-
Acts 14:15; 26:18,20 - turn!
Do works meet for repentance!
We can walk with God - we have no choice!
-
However, we also must know that we can actually please Him in our walk!

Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren,
and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye
ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
I Thessalonians 4:1
