IV. Tell us what he sees and heard from the Risen Christ himself!
-
Acts 22:14,15 - And
he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know
his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth.
For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.
-
Acts 26:16 - But
rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose,
to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast
seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
V. What Paul tells us will open our eyes...
-
Ephesians 1:18a - The
eyes of your understanding being enlightened...
-
Acts 26:18 - To
open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the
power of Satan unto God,...
-
Acts 26:20 - ...that
they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
-
IF
-
II Timothy 2:24-26 - And
the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt
to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves;
if
God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the
truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil,
who are taken captive by him at his will.
VI. Paul's stuff will show us a more excellent way!
-
I Corinthians 12:31 - But
covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent
way.
VII. Paul's stuff will show us the way of God more perfectly!
-
Acts 18:24-26 - And
a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty
in the scriptures, came to Ephesus. This man was instructed in the way
of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently
the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John. And he began
to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard,
they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.
-
Perfect - finish - completed!
-
II Chronicles 8:16 -
Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation
of the house of the LORD, and until it was finished. So the house
of the LORD was perfected.
VIII. Show us the unsearchable riches of Christ!
-
Ephesians 3:8 -
Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given,
that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
IX.. Offer us up to God
-
Romans 15:15,16 - Nevertheless,
brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting
you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God, That I should
be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel
of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being
sanctified by the Holy Ghost.
X. To impart unto 'us' spiritual
gifts?
-
Romans 1:11,12
- For I long to see you, that I may impart
unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;
That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith
both of you and me.
-
'You' meaning 'us?'
or 'them' then?
-

The
entire King James Bible is written FOR us, but it is not all written TO
us!
We
learn from the "For" and we try to apply the 'TO!"
