How To Understand the King James 1611 Bible

This is a series of sermons for folks who think the King James Bible is confusing, contradictory and archaic.
The KJB is not only the easiest bible to read, it is the easiest to understand.
The KJB is God's Holy Scriptures and is the ONLY Holy Scripture!
Here is how it can be so simply understood:

How Folks React to Paul

#1 - Scriptures

Before we take on the details of Paul's mission, we need to remind ourselves just how 'popular' Paul's teachings were - and we are sure to understand that things really haven't changed today, either.

Some like it - and get excited with their new understanding!
Most don't like it, however - as they try to 'respond,' they follow the ways of Sanballat and Tobiah to the exactness!
There are some that HATE IT!
Political enemies today, according to radio host:

Pick the Target - find something you can make an issue of, ignore all the rest that you can't.
Freeze it - make it a non issue - your points can be so pointless, that it can't be argued.
Personalize it - go after the messenger now that you have falsely destroyed the message.
Polarize it - 'to cause people to adopt directly opposite opinions.'

There are those who love the doctrine

but hate

reproof
the correction
the instruction in righteousness!

Take note as how people reacted to Paul's teaching and preaching:

(Jews and Gentiles alike - good & bad, etc.)
Acts 9:21-24

amazed at how much he had changed!
were confounded
tried to kill him
watched and laid await day and night in order to try kill him

Acts 13:16-50

42 - Gentiles besought Paul's words
43 - many followed them and persuaded them to continue in the grace of God
44 - the whole city responded to hear 'the word of God'
45 - the Jews were filled with envy at the 'numbers'

contradicted and blasphemed against what Paul was speaking

46 - When Paul said he was going on to the Gentiles, the Gentiles were glad

they glorified the word of God
they believed
Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women

and the chief men of the city

raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas
expelled them out of their coasts

Acts 14:1,2

unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.

Acts 16:16-24

they supported him
but Paul knew differently!
they made the public scene when Paul's teaching took away their gains
took them to the authorities and complained that they were troubling the city

teaching customs that are not lawful to receive or even observe
the magistrates beat them, put them into prison and the stocks

Acts 17:2-6

some of them believed
they consorted with Paul and Silas

a great multitude of devout Greeks
not a few of the chief women

Those who did NOT believe, moved with envy

went to certain lewd fellows of the baser sort
gathered a company
set all the city on an uproar
assaulted the house of Jason

took Jason then instead of finding Paul, etc.
blamed them for turning the world upside down...

Acts 17:32-34

some mocked
others wanted to hear more
certain men clave unto him, and others also believed

Acts 19:23-29

there arose no small stir about that way
Paul had persuaded and turned away much people from their craft

their temple was being despised now
their world's goddess's magnificence was destroyed

full of wrath
city was filled with confusion
the people were in one accord

Acts 26:24

accused of being 'mad'
(see verse 31 - they knew 'privately' that Paul had done nothing wrong)

Acts 28:22-24

some believed the things which were spoken
some believed not
they agreed not among themselves
they departed when Paul put it to them!

verses 25b-28

How do people "react" when we tell them about Paul?
How do people "react" when they see that Paul has entered into your life and you have made some changes according to Paul's teachings of the Risen Christ.
How do we "react" when we hear Paul preached today?

Do any of those 'look familiar?'
