Another Sermon for the Starving Bible Believing Christians All Over the World Wide Web
2007 - KJV Bible Believers Church in Touchet, Touchet, Washington - Pastor Mike Paulson - 2007
Expounding the way of God more perfectly - Acts 18:26 - with the Scriptures Rightly Divided - II Timothy 2:15
The Way of the World Concerning Truth
Part I

Review from previous sermon (Truth That is Not True):
Parents will chose family happiness over what's best!
Teens will choose friends over what is right!
Christians will choose fellowship over truth!

What do you do with truth?  Take it to others instead of acting on it yourself or for your own family?
Do you hide behind a ministry of truth towards others?

Jesus Christ - grace and truth! - John 1:14,17
Jesus teaches the way of God in truth! - Matthew 22:16
Paul is the way of God - more perfectly! - Acts 18:24-26
Truth must be rightly divided to be understood!  II Timothy 2:15
Paul speaks the words of truth and soberness!  Acts 26:25
Judgment of God is according to truth!  Romans 2:2

You know rightly dividing enough to not follow tomorrow's truth today! (previous sermon)

So, do you "rejoice" in the truth?  I Corinthians 13:6
Or is truth just 'ho-hum' - tired of the battle, etc.?

Tonight - January 31, 2007
The Way of the World Concerning Truth

Truth will always be truth!
(It must fit the dispensation to be applicable - rightly divide the word of truth - II Timothy 2:15)

Psalm 100:5
Psalm 117:2
Psalm 119:89
Matthew 24:35
I Peter 1:25
Psalms 12:6,7

If folks don't believe truth, it doesn't matter - it is still truth!
Romans 3:3
If Christians don't "do," "believe," etc. any of, some, etc. the truth, it still doesn't matter - it is still truth!
II Corinthians 13:8

In fact, when sins/wrongs are committed, truth is still proven to be true!
Judgment Seat, White Throne Judgment, imputation for the Christian, dead in sins for a lost person, etc.)

Truth today is heading for famine!
Jeremiah says it well:
    7:28
    9:3
    9:5
So does Amos
    Amos 8:11-13

This near-famine of truth is affecting belief!

Romans 10:14,15 (read it backwards as we do to show Ephesians 1:13...)

Ephesians 1:13
II Thessalonians 2:13
Colossians 1:5
I Thessalonians 2:13

Lost - Blinded towards truth!  II Corinthians 4:4
Saved - Looking everywhere else - too busy, WD religion, $ of money!

When people ignore Paul, they are ignoring truth!  See Acts 26:25!

Let's check the Scriptures to see:
What the world does with truth!

I wonder if any Christians tend to do the same things?
Why do Christians ignore Paul?  He spoke the truth!  See Acts 26:25!

1.  They all had it - conscience - but seared today!
The lost folks will take it all personally - Christ took ours for us!
Romans 1:18,19 -
Romans 2:14,15 -

2.  Change it - worship themselves - read verse 24, then 23, then 22.
College education - pride and selfishness and love of money, etc.
Romans 1:25 -

3.  Judge others in what they also do (lost folks)...
...but will ignore and argue about God's judgment to them and you!
Romans 2:1-2 -

4.  Obey not the truth (rightly divided, of course);
...they do obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath!
Romans 2:8 -

5.  Today's modern gospel legalized and applying the 4 Gospel towards themselves - knowledge and the truth in the law - a form of...
...(with help from their own pastor, etc.)
Romans 2:17-20 -

6.  Rejoice in iniquity!
Lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God - and yet still having a form of godliness...
I Corinthians 13:6a -
Romans 1:32
II Timothy 3:4,5

Continue on to Part II

It is going to just keep getting worse and worse!
But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
II Timothy 3:13

This then, is God's counsel to us today!
Titus 2:11-15
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts,
we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing
of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity,
and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority.
Let no man despise thee.
