Statement of Faith
People have always wondered what our 'statement of faith' is, was, is going to be or whatever... I think we have some things we have learned as we have traveled down Paul's "more excellent way." Learning the way of God more perfectly has brought confidence and more joy not only to us as individuals but to our little church family.

So let's look at what I have no problem in stating to folks
as to where we are with our preaching and direction.

2. We Believe in the Importance of Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth
II Timothy 2:15,16

This is essential for any understanding of the Scriptures.
This eliminates confusion and contradictions that modern gainsayers claim exist in a King James 1611 Bible.
Anything other than rightly dividing is to be considered profane and vain babblings and will increase unto more ungodliness!
Rightly dividing the KJB would make us all "speak the same thing in the same mind" and "in the same judgment!" I Corinthians 1:10 - Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
Rightly dividing would help us mind the same thing in our walk! Philippians 3:15,16 - Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us "mind the same thing."
RD is all about TO and FOR whom the different parts of Scriptures are written - and that is just the beginning of rightly dividing!
Who are the three folks the Scriptures are divided 'to' and 'for' - I Corinthians 10:32 - Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:
The divisions:

Old Testament -

'history' and all about the Jews - Gentiles were the enemy - dogs!

Gospels -

to the Jews as their Messiah - Gentiles were still considered dogs!

Acts -

two kingdoms transition from Paul - all made available to be reconciled to God and be joint heirs!

Romans to Philemon -

To Gentiles and lost folks which included Jews!

Hebrews to Jude -

Written to Jews but with Christian flavouring - written 'before' Jews put on 'hold! as well as 'before' that which is perfect is come came!

Revelation

1-3

4-18

- Tribulation in 4 different presentations!

19 -

Jesus second coming!

20 -

great white throne judgment!

Millennium and Eternity!

We even break the Scriptures down TO man, woman, pastors, dads, moms, wives, children, etc.

3. I will preach and teach that "That Which Is Perfect is Come"
is the King James 1611 Bible for Today!

This eliminates any and all of the things 'done' physically during the time of the Jews and/or before the KJB was finished - polished - perfected!
It can't be Jesus physically because if it was, all the 'in part' would still be in effect today.
Jesus HAS returned to us spiritually; physically he is still yet to return - Revelation 19. Then, physically, things will be all in order.
See I Corinthians 11:34b - ...And the rest will I set in order when I come.
Today, we are dealing with the Kingdom of God - Romans 14:17 - or the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
What was in part and is now gone? Laying on of hands, ordination, feet washing, prophecies, tongues, knowledge, baptism, "Lord's Supper." Signs, healings, miracles & wonders were already fading as Paul went into the Gentiles more and more. But until folks had the finished product - the King James Bible - completed - done - finished, when FINISHED, those things were ALL done, thus we don't need to do them today - and if so, they will just 'burn' as religious in the judgment seat of Christ.
We may not understand all of this but it has to be as described - it can not be referring to the canon of the Scriptures because they were not perfect until 1611; and certainly it can not mean Christ Himself because we know that those things done today are 'fake' & 'imitation' that are being done more and more as the anti-christ gets closer and closer. (II Thessalonians 2:3-1-12)
Faith will have to continue to show us on this one - faith from hearing the word of God! Romans 10:17

4. We Believe that Romans 5-8 is essential in forming
the solid foundation on which to build
the joyous and peaceful life of the Christian

Getting the 'sin' issue down is what causes us the peace and joy that so many Christians do not have these days. Either they think they can 'lose' their salvation or they think they can 'lose' their fellowship with God.
One of the biggest differences in denominations, etc. is how 'sin' is preached and handled. From one extreme to another.
Preaching of sin in a guilt fashion not only robs God of this blessings of grace, it puts the people back in bondage to the preacher, church distinctives & teachings which simply robs people of a joy and peace that they should be showing in their testimony - as well as in their own personal encouragement of growth.
Understanding what God truly "did with sin" and now today He "doesn't do with sin concerning a Christian" shows us more and more just how much He loved us then and still does now - and always will!
A read of Romans 4 will also add to this by learning about Imputation - what a marvelous thing!
It shows that a lost person is not just 'labeled' lost, he must be in a lost state because of the sins that are still 'attached' to his soul which makes them be dead in their sins! Ephesians 2:1; Ephesians 2:5; Colossians :2:13; I Peter 2:24.
This also gives one a better understanding of the 'process' of salvation - which helps in maintaining and understanding the security of their salvation.
Understanding our 'daily battle' that takes place between our soul and flesh shows us the battle as well as proves one's salvation.
The only way to know about 'another Jesus' or another gospel, etc. is to know the real stuff! See Galatians 1:6; II Corinthians 11:4
Remember, Jesus Christ will be judging our works by Paul's gospel, not His - so we may as well know what it is that Paul preached, eh! Romans 2:16 - In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. Romans 16:25 - Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, II Timothy 2:8 - Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:

5. We Believe we should strive to walk a holy walk
"BECAUSE" Christ made us Holy, not to "BE" Holy

We are to walk worthy - Ephesians 4:1
We are now his workmanship - Ephesians 2:10
We can now be rich in good works when before we couldn't - I Timothy 6:18; Romans 8:8 - So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
We CAN please God in our walk - I Thessalonians 4:1-7
We are to be zealous of good works - Titus 2:14
We should keep our walk away from the evil works of the world - II Timothy 4:17,18
If we live godly, we WILL suffer - but that is the 'design' - II Timothy 3:12-14;
If we do have to suffer, it certainly isn't to be as great as the glory later - Romans 8:18 - For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

6. We will preach Local Church and Universal Church

Do a study on the word church - you will see examples and references to both!
Ephesians 4 is the pattern for us to follow for the local church purpose today, not Acts 2:41-47, nor is our Commission the one preached from Mark 16:15-20. Our commission is Paul's in Acts 13:47 - For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.!
The local is NOT the one the gates of Hell will not prevail against! Just look around - you can't possibly believe otherwise!
Why baptistic denominational attachment? Good question! You will hear the answer to that one soon enough.
The question should not be, "When was the church born," it should be, "Where is the church today?"
Today is NOT the Philadelphian era, no matter how hard we try to pretend we are like them! II Thessalonians 2:3 (and it isn't just the 'church' that falls away, by the way!)
Membership in our local assembly is based on whether you come or not. We ought to get serious this year with 'membership.' Some serious decisions will need to be made this year - I can just tell. :-)
Also need to have more preaching / teaching from the men. We don't need fancy sermoning, just what God has shown you about yourself - not the brethren, etc. That is the pastor's job, eh!
