Ever heard that Jesus is tarrying - and 'someday' he will come, etc.
He is waiting for something or someone... to be saved, etc.
That is not true!
Let's look at the Scriptures to see who tarries for whom?
-
Matthew 26:36-38 - the disciples!
-
John 4:40 - Jesus tarried with the
Samaritans - two days!
-
John 21:22,23 - read very closely!!!!!!
It doesn't say what some folks say it says in their skim read!
-
Acts 18:19,20 - Paul was asked to tarry
but he wouldn't!
-
Acts 28:11-15 - Paul and some prisoners!
-
I Corinthians 11:33 - one for another!
-
I Corinthians 16:5-9 - Paul!
-
I Timothy 3:14,15 - Paul!
Why would people think that Jesus is tarrying for America / the world to
get better - more folks to stop sinning - fixing America / the world by
going back to the law, Gospels, etc.?
It Can't Be Us Christians He is 'waiting' on...
-
A believer is not under the law - how could that be?
-
How could we be the problem?
-
or the solution? based on that fact?
-
Romans 10:4 - For
Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
-
Romans 6:14 - For
sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but
under grace.
-
Galatians 5:18 - But
if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
-
We are the church of God, not the Gentiles, anymore.
-
See I Corinthians 10:32 -
Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the
church of God:
The issue is with the Gentiles
-
See Romans 11:12 - ... how much more
their fulness?
-
bunny trail notes:
-
more on 'fulness'
-
Romans 15:29
-
Galatians 4:4
- But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made
of a woman, made under the law.
-
Ephesians 1:10 -
That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together
in one all things in Christ, both which ae in heaven, and which are on
earth, even in him.
-
then there is 'fulness' in us?
-
Ephesians 3:19 -
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might
be filled with all the fulness of God.
-
Ephesians 4:13 - Till
we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son
of god, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness
of Christ.
-
Colossians 1:19 -
For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell.
-
Colossians 2:9 - For
in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
-
See Romans 11:25 - fulness of the Gentiles
be come in...
-
Here is what is holding up the 'rapture:'
-
*See Romans 11:20-22 - Gentile nation
will be cut off eventually - because of unbelief - and not continuing in
the goodness of God.
-
(he is not talking about the church of God - referring only to the Gentiles!)
P.S. - The classic verse, used by almost
every preacher these days, it seems - Hebrews
10:37-39 - For yet a little while,
and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall
live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure
in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them
that believe to the saving of the soul.
-
THIS NOT 'TO' US!
-
This is referring to the Second Coming, not the rapture!
-
draw back! no pleasure from God! draw back unto perdition!
believe to the saving of the soul!

The
entire King James Bible is written FOR us, but it is not all written TO
us!
We
learn from the "For" and we try to apply the 'TO!"
