Part IV How meaning of words is affected by "Phonaesthesia" and "Spelling" |
Prayer CirclesKing James described many of the “rites and secrets of these unlawful arts” practiced by witches. He warned sternly against the making of “circles” and of evil spirits called “Brownies.” Today unthinking Scout and ‘Brownie’ troop leaders (and even liberal pastors) encourage the witches’ practice of ‘holding hands in a circle.’ He writes, “This spirit they called Brownie in our language...appeared in time of Papistry and blindness, and haunted houses...”.
Brownies?
Is this anything like everybody holding hands around the dinner table for meal time prayer?
Or campfires and the KumBaYah session? That which is perfect...
"Prophecies and visions are now ceased, all spirits that appear in these forms are evil." He found that two "symptoms" of devil possession were 'incredible strength" and "... the speaking of sundrie languages which, the patient is known, by them that were acquainted with him, never to have learned."

Onomatopoeia?
This may appear to be similiar to Onomatopoeia, but it is actually
quite different than phonaesthesia. Onomatopoeia imitates the sounds
of the word, such as: buzz, humm, plop, drop, splash, bang, cough, creak
along with a few Biblical words such as: murmur;
lowing; chatter; babbler; bray; bleating, etc.
To say "bite and devour" (Galatians 5:15) you must bite with your teeth and open your mouth wide, as if devouring something.
Phonaesthesia
In Phonaesthesia, the corresponding sound of each individual letter
contributes to the emotional effect a specific word has.
Advertisers in the media are totally aware of this element - if the impression of a harsh, strong product is desired, it could be called "Tide" or "Clorox." A soft , light and gentle product might be named 'Oil of Olay' or "Almay.' Grease... slime... look for more words as you shop...
So, if advertisers knowingly use phonaesthesia, why do KJB Christians ignore & downplay it within their very own Bible?
Plosives
Powerful and sharp words (i.e., invectives) are created using letters
which are called 'plosives.'
When the letters, 'p,' 'b,' 'd,' 'k,' and 'g' are pronounced, the air pressure which has been built up in the mouth is released explosively. (This is even similiar in music as one 'attacks' each note with the 'tongue' with either a 'tuh' or 'duh' movement with the tongue. Too much spoils the attack of each note played.)
Certain sounds from within words will bring to the conscious mind a whole battery of conjoining word memories. Apparently God has built into the English Bible a preconditioned association with certain letters AND sounds with words.
Dagger to Dying
Many of the words in the Bible beginning with the powerful plosive
'd' sound have a negative connotation.
Note just a few of the words from dagger to dying. These so-called archaic words on this list are stripped of their Godly designed impact when updated by the new versions.
Dagger, damage, damnable, danger, darkness, dart, dasheth, dead, deaf, debase, debt, decay, decease, deceit, decked, decline, decrease, defamed, defeat, defile, defraud, defy, depart, deposed, depraved, deride, derision, descend, descry, desert, desolate, despair, desperately, despise, despite, destitute, destroy, detest, device, devil, devour, Diana, die, dim, diminish, disallow, disannul, disappoint, disease, disfigure, disgrace, disguise, dishonest, dishonour, disinherit, dismayed, dismissed, disobedience, disorderly, displease, displeasure, disputations, dispute, disquiet, dissembled, dissension, dissimulation, dissolve, distraction, distress, ditch, divination, divorce, doleful, dote, doubtful, down, dragon, draught, dread, dregs, drought, drown, drunk, dull, dumb, dung, dungeon, and dying.
I. F
The word 'fornicator' with
its high pitched fricative 'f' and its plosive 'k' sound,
is much stronger than the modern use of the words 'immoral woman.'
The Cambridge Encyclopedia says the 'm's have the gentlest of sounds.
II. SL
SL words convey a 'downward movement' ... or position.

Servant or Slave?
Almost all the new bible versions change 'servant'
to slave.
Webster:
Servant: one who exerts himself for the benefit of
another ... as a public servant, an official of government.
Slave: a person held in bondage... One who has lost
control of himself. A drudge.
The image of cruel bondage and a 'downward ... position" are not the thoughts that God inspired to be given as expresssed in Ephesians 6:6, ...but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart."
I Corinthians 7:22 - For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant.
Romans 6:16-22
- Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey,
his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience
unto righteousness? But God be thanked, that ye were the servants
of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was
delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants
of righteousness. I speak after the manner of men because of the
infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to
uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members
servants to righteousness unto holiness. For when ye were the servants
of sin, ye were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those
things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your
fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
That is a slave?

SColar and SCribe
The KJB also lumps the 'scholar'
and
'scribe' in all with all the
negative 'sc' words: scarlot, scattereth, scorch,
scorner, scorpion, scum, scorn, scarest, scarceness, screech and scoff.
These negative 'sc' words seem to be joined together against the word of truth - Scriptures. But to most people during these modern times, the Scriptures ARE negative - but to us, they are positive in meaning!
But for now, the minds of modern Christians are being set up to that mentality against KJB people!
Do you see the trend as they soften the real words so that someday,
the KJB will be an illegal book because of it's 'unloving' words.
In fact, can you see the actual 'new words' showing that the King James
Believers are actually wrong in their ways and aproaches.
