With all that we receive in our salvation, we should know that we do not receive nor should it be a goal of ours, and that is 'pleasure.'

We receive:

• Among the many, we receive His righteousness, eternal security, fruit of the Spirit, etc. but I see no Scriptures that tell us to aim and receive 'pleasure.'

• So, as we continue from the a.m. sermon, tonight we look at the opposite reaction that folks could think when they hear 'no pleasure' in being a Christian.  Some folks then say, "OK, if there is no pleasure, am I a slave?"
• Why would they ask such a thing, anyway?
• They miss the point about enjoyment, contentment, joy, suffering, etc. - but also, in all the modern Bibles, we see that the KJB word 'servant' has been changed to 'slave.'

• They just had to discredit the KJB.
• Then they had to discredit all the bibles.
• Then they discredit Biblical teachings!
• Then they discredit Biblical Christianity!
• Now they must discredit Biblical Christians!
• The final crowd is the rightly dividing Paul following KJB Only folks - and the brethren are as good at that as is the world.
• If they would just wait a little while longer, the Lord will take us out of their little world of religion and money!

• So what is another way to discredit the Bible?
• Have those bibles say that being a Christian is being a slave - and to eventually get folks to see that 'the Bible' is a politically incorrect and hateful book!

• By the way, must one go to the Greek to show the 7 different definitions of servant and how the Greek uses them?  No! No more than going to the Greek shows the difference between agape and phileo love - it is all baloney and inconsistent.
• Look at the context of the word 'servant,' and you will see the definition in how it is used in the context.  It is that simple.

• No - a bond servant - or bondage - or bond, but never the word slave - ESPECIALLY in the ways the modern verses use slave.
• SLAVE - person held in bondage, a thrall, one who has lost control of himself, no freedom of action, a drudge.  A person captured - no freewill.
• SERVANT - one who exerts himself for the benefit of another at his own freewill.
• A servant chooses - a slave has no choice!
• JW's call Christians 'slaves of Jesus Christ.'
• I am no slave to Christ - all that I do is by choice!
• We were never even a slave to sin; God always gives us a choice - serve Him or sin.  Make the choice!

• From the heart - not forced!
• Ephesians 6:6
• KJV - Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
• NIV - Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but like slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart.

• But also keep in mind, that modern Christians think that we Bible Believers are slaves.  They say we are a slave to that Book - to the pastor - to the church, etc.

• They want PLEASURE in what they do - they don't want to be tied down to any church teaching or any Bible or Bibles.

• where the word servant is, insert the word slave!
• Genesis 9:25-27 - Biblical 'justification' of slavery will put the book on the hate list - politically incorrect!
• Matthew 20:27 - who wants to be first must first be a slave?
• Romans 6:15-26 - we have choices through all of these verses - never a slave to any of it.

• He made himself ...  it was a choice and always was.
• I Corinthians 9:19 - For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
• NIV - Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.
• P.S. - there is that 'win' concept - a modern teaching as well!
• I Corinthians 9:27 - But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
• NIV - No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

• Maybe the kids 'think' they are slaves... or been taught to think that!
• Galatians 4:1 -  Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
• NIV - What I am saying is that as long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate.

• Our service and obedience to the rightly divided Scriptures must come from the heart!
• Romans 6:17 -  But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
• Ephesians 6:6 - Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

• I Corinthians 4:5 - Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

• Paul came to clean it up!
• Acts 28:27 - For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
