Are Christians
Still "Sinners?"
|
According to most pastors, preachers and evangelists today, yes!
But according to the Risen Saviour - KJV - Paul? NO!
But don't jump to any conclusions now - be sure to read on to see what
that means!
Don't go to I John 3:8,10, either.
If we say that we have no sin, we
deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make
him a liar, and his word is not in us.
We don't say that! However, ... well, read on!
The profane and vain babbling pastors say today...
-
Great Commission main theme!
-
"Go and sin no more" - "and confirming the word with signs following!"
-
Repent!
-
They tell people the reason they are not saved is because of what they
are doing!
-
They tell others to be like they are - "They can be like me and then
get saved, too!"
-
But they don't really know to tell them ...
-
... they are lost because they are in Adam, it really isn't their fault
or walk, but...
-
I Corinthians 15:22 -
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
-
... the true definition of the 'lost'
-
Ephesians 2:11-12 - Wherefore
remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called
Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made
by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the
commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having
no hope, and without God in the world:
-
The truth! - they are lost because they reject the Risen Saviour for their
'free' salvation, not because of their works, etc.
-
The truth - repenting and stopping their sinning won't do them an ounce
of good until...! Romans 8:8 -
So then they that are in the flesh cannot please
God.
-
Walk in his footsteps to stay clean!
-
Be 'like' Christ!
-
Imitate Jesus!
-
You are to be His image!
-
Confess your sins for those few times you are "out of sorts with God"
-
loss of salvation from God?
-
loss of fellowship / closeness with God?
-
loss of physical blessings if not right with God...
-
or they seek gain, if their heart is 'right with God"
-
See I Timothy 6:5 - ...
supposing that gain is godliness...
-
(See Acts
19:24-28 - Paul's stuff took away their
gain and the magnificence of their religion.)
-
Quotes:
-
"The experience of Christianity isn't about me.
It' about us!"
-
"Jesus promised that He would enter our lives
if we ask Him!"
-
delivered from the 'dominion' of darkness...
-
'transferred' us 'to' the kingdom of his dear Son...
-
('translated'
changed; 'unto'
changed)
-
etc.
-
A few wrongly divided verses that could make you
think you have to stop sinning today!
-
I John 1:8-10 -
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not
in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our
sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have
not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
-
John 5:14 - Afterward
Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made
whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
-
John 8:11 -
She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee:
go, and sin no more.
-
I John 3:8,9 -
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the
beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might
destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit
sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born
of God.
-
I John 3:22-24 -And
whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments,
and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. And this is his commandment,
That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one
another, as he gave us commandment. And he that keepeth his commandments
dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us,
by the Spirit which he hath given us.
-
I Peter 2:21 - For
even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving
us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
-
Hebrews 13:17 -
Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they
watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do
it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
Modern bibles even say ...
-
1 Corinthians 4:16 - So
I urge you to imitate me.
-
1 Corinthians 11:1 - And
you should imitate me, just as I imitate Christ.
-
Ephesians 5:1 -
Imitate
God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.
-
Ephesians 4:15 - Instead,
we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like
Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.
Ok, so these folks actually think
they have stopped sinning and are being like Christ?
(other than a few sins that were
taken care of with a short confession time)
Yes - they actually believe that they have actually
stopped sinning and are walking sinlessly,
and as a result, God's physical blessings are
based on their 'walk.'
Ok, if that were to be true, then ...
-
1) What is the judgment seat for?
-
2) Did Christ not pay IT ALL?
-
3) It has become a very conceited Christianity
-
Romans 11:25 -
For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery,
lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is
happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
-
Also more and more Christians have become very prideful
(they don't recognize that in themselves, either), thus the anger and contention
when you try to talk to someone about their religion compared to the KJB
and Paul!
-
Proverbs 13:10 -
Only by pride cometh contention...
-
Ours shouldn't be a pride - we had nothing to do
with what we have.
-
We are humbled when we read what Christ did and how
he did it.
-
Joy - boldness - confidence - strength, etc.
-
the more abundantly we love, the less we will be
loved!
-
we will be called the enemy because we tell them
the truth.
-
We are the answer to their prayers... "Here
is the truth, folks!"
Does the Risen
Saviour say differently?
After all, wouldn't He be the one to know best?
For he hath made him to be sin for
us, who knew no sin;
that we might be made the righteousness
of God in him.
II Corinthians 5:21
I do not frustrate the grace of God:
for if righteousness come by the law,
then Christ is dead in vain.
Galatians 2:21
He points out the folly of it all!
This know also, that in the last days perilous
times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous,
boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent,
fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded,
lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness,
but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are
they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins,
led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the
knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do
these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning
the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be
manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.
So, contrary to what most people think these days, the
truth still exists and God is still there with us!
So what DOES Paul say differently about us being a sinner or not?
We are APPROVED!
II Timothy 2:15,16 - Study
to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings:
for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
-
Take a closer look - study... to shew thyself...
approved unto God
-
Not just learning how to do things that are approved (Philippians
1:9,10), but we can study to see the 'obvious' truth that "we
are already approved unto God!"
We see that we are ACCEPTED!
-
Ephesians 1:6 - To
the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted
in the beloved.
We see that BUT NOW...
-
Ephesians 2:13-18 -
But now in Christ Jesus...
-
II Thessalonians 2:13-17 - But
we are bound to give thanks...
-
Ephesians 5:8 -
For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord...
-
II Timothy 3:10 -
But thou has fully known my ...
We see that we are not in bondage to sin anymore; now we choose...
-
Romans 6:1-14
-
We are no longer dead in our sins...
-
Ephesians 2:1 - And
you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
-
Ephesians 2:5 -
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ,
(by grace ye are saved;)
-
Colossians 2:13 -
And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh,
hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
-
Romans 6:15-22
-
But now we can make a choice to follow our flesh / sin or not!
-
On to the Judgment Seat of Christ
-
our works - good and bad - will be judged!
-
I Corinthians 3
-
II Corinthians 5:10
-
Romans 14:10
-
Even Paul lost some battles
-
See Romans 7:15-25
-
Galatians 4:14 - And
my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but
received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.
We see that any rough life that we are experiencing and will experience...
-
... an opportunity unto the furtherance of
the gospel - see Philippians 1:12-14
is
not God's wrath but reaping personally or from the nation's rejection of
God are different 'results.'
-
Can we make it work in our lives even when things get as bad as they are
- and worse...?
-
We are also seeing the importance of the brethren, folks - and that is
scary knowing what the devil has done to blind hearts as well as minds...
and the hardness that we are to endure as a soldier of Jesus Christ.
sigh
-
Yet it is the brethren who are to take care of the brethren physically,
etc.
-
We have nothing to be ashamed of... even if we have
messed up.
-
We are approved! Life must go on! We
have nothing to be ashamed of in God's eyes!
-
II Timothy 1:8 - Be
not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his
prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according
to the power of God;
-
I Timothy 6:6 -
But godliness with contentment is great gain.
-
Remember the true definition of godliness - I
Timothy 3:16 - And without controversy
great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified
in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on
in the world, received up into glory.
How did we become so approved?
-
Yesterday!
-
Jesus Christ took care of our soul!
-
Christ on the cross, obviously, but ... there is more...
-
The circumcision of Christ - Colossians 2:10-17
-
Topped off with the sealing with that holy Spirit of promise! - Ephesians
1:13,14 - In whom ye also trusted, after
that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom
also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased
possession, unto the praise of his glory.
-
Today
-
King James Bible rightly divided helps us with our growth and building
upon the foundation!
-
I Corinthians 3:12-15 - Now
if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood,
hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall
declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try
every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath
built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be
burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as
by fire.
-
Tomorrow
-
Judgment Seat of Christ takes care of today's walk
- but that is not until 'tomorrow!'
-
Philippians 3:21 - Who
shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious
body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things
unto himself.
-
I Corinthians 15:50-58
-
Romans 8:23-29
Just how approved are we?
-
We are his workmanship!
-
Ephesians 2:10 - For
we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which
God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
-
We are in Christ!
-
I Corinthians 12:13,27 -
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews
or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink
into one Spirit. / Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in
particular.
-
Ephesians 2:6: And
hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places
in Christ Jesus:
-
Ephesians 2:10 -
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works,
which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
-
Christ is in us!
-
Colossians 1:27 - To
whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery
among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
-
Romans 8:9,10 - But
ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of
God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none
of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the
Spirit is life because of righteousness.
-
We are made the righteousness of God!
-
II Corinthians 5:21 - For
he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made
the righteousness of God in him.
-
We are a new creature!
-
II Corinthians 5:17-19 - Therefore
if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away;
behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath
reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry
of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world
unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed
unto us the word of reconciliation.
-
Galatians 6:15 - For
in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision,
but a new creature.
-
We are made nigh unto God
-
Ephesians 2:13 - But
now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the
blood of Christ.
-
We are habitation of God
-
Ephesians 2:22 - In
whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the
Spirit.
-
We are quickened!
-
Ephesians 2:1 -
And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
-
Ephesians 2:5 - Even
when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by
grace ye are saved;)
-
Redeemed from the curse of the law
-
Galatians 3:13 - Christ
hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us:
for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
-
Romans 10:3,4 - For
they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish
their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness
of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one
that believeth.
-
All things are lawful
-
but... and you know the "strings attached," right?
-
I Corinthians 6:12 -
All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things
are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
-
1. expedient
-
2. not brought under the power of
-
I Corinthians 10:23 - All
things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things
are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
-
Galatians 5:13 - ...
use not liberty not for an occasion to the flesh...
-
Romans 14:13 -
Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather,
that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's
way.
-
5. not to cause someone to stumble
-
Remember - those strings help us maintain truth in our testimony... but
don't bring on God's judgment, wrath or chastisement today - and anything
being stored will be brought up at the judgment seat of Christ, not the
white throne!...
He came in our likeness - do we return the 'favour' by trying to be
in his likeness now?
-
Philippians 2:7 - But
made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant,
and was made in the likeness of men...
-
Why do folks think we are to try to live in his likeness today?
-
Can we imitate?
-
Can we do all that He did?
-
He fulfilled the law
-
And it was the OT law, anyway!
Our life is to magnify the Risen Saviour, but
not imitate!
Philippians 1:20 - According
to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed,
but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified
in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.

The
entire King James Bible is written FOR us, but it is not all written TO
us!
We
learn from the "For" and we learn to apply the 'TO!"
