Seventh-day Adventism

The Seventh-day Adventist denomination arose from the aftermath of the adventist movement of the mid-1800s. "Seventh-day" refers to the focus on sabbath worship. "Adventist" refers to their belief that they are the fulfillment of prophecies pertaining to the latter days remnant and the coming of Christ. The name Seventh-day Adventist was officially adopted in 1860. The writings of Ellen G. White (1827-1915) are exalted as prophecy in the Adventist movement.

Because I live in an area that has many Seventh-day Adventists, including a Seventh-day community with their own college, I figure it is time to make available an excellent and easy-to-understand study of the Seventh-day teachings as compared to the Scriptures.  As it is with anyone who follows angel theology and visions, Jesus says to them...

Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. Mt:22:29

This is not meant to be a complete and thorough study.  There are many sites and much information available on the web.  This is intended to only be a simple study to show that the simplicity in Christ is just what it says, "SIMPLE" to see that the Seventh-day teachings are to be considered false gospel.

WORD ABOUT THE DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS REPORT. The following study is based directly upon Seventh-day Adventist publications. It was not based on second-hand, non-Adventist sources. In researching this report, the author visited Adventist bookstores, colleges, and churches, and also took some of their correspondence courses. Though many of the books used for our documentation of Adventist belief were written in the 1800s and early 1900s, they are still being produced by Adventist publishing houses and distributed to the public throughout the world.

The author, David Cloud, has an excellent web site called The Way of Life and is available at http://wayoflife.org/~dcloud.
Other authors, as included, will be listed as well.
No attempt at any glory here is made except to the Lord Jesus Christ.
I trust each author wants the glory to go to the Lord, as well.

More studies regarding Seventh-day teachings from other authors will be made available as time allows.
