- Whosoever therefore shall break one of
these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the
least
in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them,
the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Paul never does mention kingdom of heaven!
So this is meaningless to us today!
No need to be concerned about who is least or great...
Paul preaches kingdom of God only!
Acts 19:8 - And
he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months,
disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.
Acts 20:25 - And
now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom
of God, shall see my face no more.
Acts 28:23 - And
when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging;
to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading
them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets,
from morning till evening.
Acts 28:31 - Preaching
the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the
Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.
Rom 14:17 - For
the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and
peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
I Corinthians 15:50 -
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom
of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
I Corinthians 6:9 - Know
ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?
Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor
effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
I Corinthians 6:10 -
Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners,
shall inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:21 - Envyings,
murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you
before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things
shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Colossians 4:11 - And
Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only
are my fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God, which have been a
comfort unto me.
II Thessalonians 1:5 -
Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may
be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

- For I say unto you, That except your
righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees,
ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Continuing the thought from verse 19,
For
I say unto you...
Our own righteousness?
This is why the Psalms seem so important to folks today!
It is about the righteousness the Jews had to have during the OT.
The Psalms are for us, of course, but not in the manner of word for word
application to us!
We need His righteousness today, not ours!
Romans 10:3 - For
they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish
their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness
of God.
Titus 3:5 - Not
by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his
mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the
Holy Ghost;
Romans 4:5-8 - But
to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly,
his
faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the
blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without
works, Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and
whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not
impute sin.
Romans 4:24 -
But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him
that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
Our righteousness can not please God until we have His!
Romans 8:8-9 -So
then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the
flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.
Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
I Thessalonians 4:1
- Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord
Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please
God, so ye would abound more and more.
Until saved, our righteousness is still 'dead in sins.'
Ephesians 2:1 -
And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Ephesians 2:5 - Even
when
we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace
ye are saved;)
Colossians 2:13 -
And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh,
hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Our soul needs to be cut away from our flesh!
Colossians 2:11
- In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands,
in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of
Christ:
Their 'walk' had to be the teachings of Jesus to the Jews THEN!
Matthew 28:19,20 - Go
ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe
all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway,
even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Mark 16:16-20
Our teachings today from the Risen Christ to Paul say nothing like this!
Also - consider this - they didn't have 'heaven' as Paul preaches it anyway
- they had 'paradise' until Christ rose and brought many with him!
Luke 23:43 - And
Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with
me in paradise.
Matthew 27:52,53 -
And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy
city, and appeared unto many.

- Ye have heard that it was said by them
of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in
danger of the judgment:
Ye have heard...

27-28; 31-32; 33-37; 38-39; 43-44
You can see that even from OT to Jesus' time - there were 'changes!'
After Christ fulfilled the law, why can there not be 'changes' in what
Jesus teaches to the Gentiles.
Romans 8:3,4 - For
what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending
his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin
in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us,
who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
II Timothy 3:16 - still means it is
all inspired by God, but it doesn't have to all be TO us!
All scripture is given by inspiration of God,
and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction
in righteousness:
Paul preaches and teaches ...
... the way of God more perfectly!
Acts 18:26 - And
he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla
had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God
more perfectly.
... more excellent way
I Corinthians 12:31 -
...yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
... that Paul's ways are the ways to follow!
I Corinthians 4:17 - For
this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful
in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in
Christ, as I teach every where in every church.
I Thessalonians 4:1 -

For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you,

I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause
shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother,
Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou
fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
Raca is Syriac - vain, empty, worthless - "to spit" - extreme
contempt
Not all was Greek / Hebrew, eh!
But being called a fool is worse than that!
Remember, it was being angry with your brother without a cause!
I following Jesus' teachings today, along with Hebrews books, etc., then
loving a brother means we are saved and hating a brother means to be in
darkness!
I John 3:14-16 -We
know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren.
He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. Whosoever hateth his brother
is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in
him. Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life
for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
I John 3:23,24 - And
this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son
Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. And he that
keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we
know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
Seeverses
8-10 - He that committeth sin is of the
devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son
of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever
is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and
he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are
manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness
is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
For Paul's time and in ours today - the dispensation of grace, hating a
brother did not put anyone in danger of hell fire and was not any proof
of being saved or not.
II Thessalonians 3:14,15 -
And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have
no company with him, that he may be ashamed. Yet count him not as an enemy,
but admonish him as a brother.
Today, even for a brother, you could 'note that man and have no company
with him, that he maybe ashamed.
Romans 12:10 -
Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring
one another;
Romans 13:8 - Owe
no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath
fulfilled the law.
Romans 14:13 -
Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather,
that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's
way.
Romans 15:7 - Wherefore
receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.
Romans 15:14 - And
I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of
goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
II Corinthians 13:12 -Greet
one another with an holy kiss.
Galatians 5:15 - But
if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one
of another.
Galatians 5:26 -
Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one
another.
Galatians 6:2 - Bear
ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
Ephesians 4:2 - With
all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another
in love;
Ephesians 4:32-
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even
as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Colossians 3:13 -
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel
against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
I Thessalonians 4:9 - But
as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves
are taught of God to love one another.
I Thessalonians 4:18 -
Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
I Thessalonians 5:11 -
Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also
ye do.
God calls people fools!
Psalms 14:1 - The
fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they
have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
Proverbs 17:10 - A
reproof entereth more into a wise man than an hundred stripes into a fool.
Proverbs 18:6 - A
fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes.
Proverbs 23:9 - Speak
not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.
Proverbs 28:6 - Better
is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in
his ways, though he be rich.
Proverbs 29:20 - Seest
thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool
than of him.
Jesus calls people fools!
Matthew 23:17 - Ye
fools and blind: ...
Luke 11:40 - Ye
fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within
also?
Luke 24:25 - Then
he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets
have spoken:
Paul calls people fools!
Romans 1:22 - Professing
themselves to be wise, they became fools,
II Corinthians 11:23 - Are
they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more
abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths
oft.
I Corinthians 15:36 -
Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
Paul even called himself a fool!
II Corinthians 12:11 - I
am become a fool in glorying; ye have compelled me: for I ought to have
been commended of you: for in nothing am I behind the very chiefest apostles,
though I be nothing.
