Are You Properly
Troubled Today?
|
Let's hear what the Risen Christ
through Paul about our troubles today!
II Corinthians 4:8-11 - We
are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed,
but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the
life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which live
are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus
might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

We are troubled more and more on every side!
-
Never has been 'global' like it is today!

A falling away apostasy

why do pastors try to deny it as they preach it - trying harder and harder
for the gain...

People in denial - don't want to suffer!

Lots of 'articles' lately about the crumbling church - but wrong still!

kingdom of heaven

telling folks that pastors need to get people to stop sinning!

Faithful men are becoming more and more rare willing to study the RD KJB
and do something with what Paul passes on!

II Timothy 2:1-3

caught up in the affairs of this life

being taught and led by the women of this world / business / education
/ home, etc.

II Timothy 2:4

can't do it, if you are entangled - and most are!
II Corinthians 7:5 - For,
when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled
on every side; without were fightings, within were fears.

"Stuff" is going on ... without & within!

Within - We sure have the battles 'within' our little church crew, eh!

The "great spiritually worthless northwest!"

The stayers are still hanging around with the quitters - Tobiah still has
his friends here!

And they all actually still feel bad about them - like it is my fault or
something.

my personality clashes with their children - their gods and goddesses!

no, just the loud, immodest, out of the home, honourable and devout in
their own minds!

I 'point, aim and shoot' with my preaching - individual shots instead of
group shots!

Galatians 1:7 - Which
is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the
gospel of Christ.

of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Gospel of wrong division, if any division at all

Prosperity gospel

I Timothy 6:17 -

II Timothy 2:8,9 -
Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead
according to my gospel: Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even
unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.

We are considered to be an evil doer because of believing the Risen Saviour!
Verses from Paul on Persecution - but I would suggest you listen
to the audio to get a few comments on these verses, as my objective in
this sermon is to show that we are hindered in our witness of the Risen
Saviour because we choose NOT to suffer. Note: All of these
verses are not discussed in this sermon - maybe in the next one, eh!
