What's In the Gospels "FOR" Us?
Part VII

Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples:
and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning,
that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
Romans 15:4

Remember, the Gospels are still in the Old Testament doctrinally!
Hebrews 9:16,17
Gospels are not TO us!
However, there is plenty within the Gospels FOR us!

Part II

We see that Mark is just more continuation of the sources of most false teachings today.

I. Apostles given power over unclean spirits today?

6:7-13
TO them then, but NOT to us today!

These do NOT sound like today, though!

take nothing for their journey? - 6:8

today, very rich - give all, takes all - tel-evangelists, high media preachers, large church pastors, etc.

dust off your feet for a testimony against them! - 6:11

join with them today - ecumenical - speak no evil - having favour with all the people.

Acts 2:47

These DO sound like today's modern Christianity

preached repentance - 6:12

today, preaching works meet for repentance
Acts 26:20

cast out many devils - 6:13
anointed with oil - 6:13
healed - 6:13

Today, healing wonders are by the devil
Revelation 16:13,14
II Thessalonians 2:9

must have faith

Mark 2:5 - When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
Mark 5:34 - And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
Mark 9:19 - He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.
Mark 10:52 - And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

Are we to follow apostles doctrine today?

Acts 2:41-47?
Mark 16:14-20?

Great Commission
Fulfilled in that day, not still going on today

Romans 10:18

But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

OR are we to follow Paul!

Greater Commission

Acts 13:47 - Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

The Great Commission, if preached TO people today, is another gospel!

Galatians 1:8 - But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
II Corinthians 11:4 - For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
