Now all these things
happened unto them for ensamples:
In the Gospels "FOR" Us?
and they are written for
our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
I Corinthians 10:11
whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning,
we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
Remember, the Gospels are still in the Old Testament
from the Gospels that are misapplied today!
Gospels are not TO us!
However, there is plenty within the Gospels FOR us!

there be no gatherings when I come. And when I come, whomsoever ye shall
approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto
II Corinthians 8:2 - How
that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their
deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

We see more and more increase of this as we near the Tribulation.

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but

We are looking for his appearing during the rapture!

away his words!
See vs 34 - surfeiting and drunkenness
SURFEIT, v.t. sur'fit. [L. facio.]
1. To feed with meat or drink, so as to oppress the stomach and derange
the functions of the system; to overfeed and produce sickness or uneasiness.
2. To cloy; to fill to satiety and disgust. He surfeits us
with his eulogies.
1. Strictly, to fill; to glut.
SUR'FEIT, v.i. To be fed till the system is oppressed and sickness
or uneasiness ensues.
SUR'FEIT, n. Fullness and oppression of the system, occasioned by excessive
eating and drinking. He has not recovered from a surfeit.
1. Excess in eating and drinking.
SUR'FEITED, pp. Surcharges and oppressed with eating and drinking
to excess; cloyed.
SUR'FEITING, ppr. Oppressing the system by excessive eating and drinking;
cloying; loading or filling to disgust.

Satan didn't get Peter to betray him, but he got him to deny him!

Matthew 16:16 -

Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but
my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou
art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of
hell shall not prevail against it.
They should have known and acted appropriately!
Brought spices? - why?
Afraid? of what?
Idles tales - they believed them not! Why?
Doubted in what they thought they had trusted!
Peter wondered? Why?
Terrified and affrighted? Why?
Thought they saw a spirit!
Believed not for joy! Why?
Fools and slow of heart!
He vanished out of their sight!
Their hearts burned within them... vs 32
They finally remembered his words! vs 8
Their eyes were holden!
Then he opened he their understanding, that they might understand
Great Commission is about to begin!
Lifted up hands and blessed them!
Just like the 'priests' today!
