Just a few of the interesting verses in Psalms!
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep:
for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.

Review statement made last week:

Psalms must be rightly divided into Paul's teachings!

Psalms are NOT TO us!

They are to and about the Jew 'before' Jesus.

We can certainly learn from them in the manner that God dealt directly with them historically and will deal with them futuristically 'tomorrow.'

If you try to apply them TO yourself, you will be constantly trying to live that righteous holy life or expecting God's chastisement!

Words that would confuse a person today if they did not apply rightly dividing:

holiness; sacrifices; the Law of the LORD; Mercy; worship; extol; Thy word; presence of the LORD; nigh; blessed are; praise; fear of the LORD / God; righteous; righteousness; voice of the LORD; trust;

The direction 'toward' God in these Psalms for us today is for us to be guided directly to the mouth of God - the King James Bible.

Otherwise, you will just have another religion trying to live OT manner of life.

A few key words that would be 'how' we would do these by turning to the KJB - not just some 'heartfelt' charismatic modern Christian experience thinking it was truly from God.

Fortress; refuge; rock; hiding place; help; shield; defence, search(er), strength

Psalms will 'come alive' for the people during the Tribulation again - that is, if they have the Psalms available to them! (Amos 8:11-13)

New Testament

Colossians 3:1 - If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Hebrews 10:12 - But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
On His hand?

Ephesians 1:20 - Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
Hebrews 12:2 - Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

How does He deliver us today?

From the inside - spiritual circumcision, dead to the law, makes us free, etc.
Outside - King James Bible, rightly divided to understand

Psalm 27:11 - Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.

I Corinthians 12:31 - But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.

Nigh unto God ... in truth

71:19 - that is the same righteousness we have imputed with!

Psalm 37:16 - A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

Psalm 37:18 - The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.

Verse 20 - Do we really put our trust in Him for salvation AND the daily walk today?

Psalm 29:11 - The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.

Ephesians 3:16 - That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

Peace - from Paul's gospel

Philippians 4:9 - Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Psalm 40:16 - Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.

Deliverance prayer

How are we delivered out of the snare of the devil today?

You know the answer to that - the KJB rightly divided and acted upon from Paul and his people.

Psalm 31:24 - Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

strengthen today through KJB, of course.

Psalm 35:9 - And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation.

Of course the soul would be joyful today - it has been cut away from the flesh!

Colossians 2:11-13
Uh, your soul is joyful, right?

In the OT & Gospels, they had to keep the flesh clean in their walk!

... and will have to in the Tribulation as well.

They have to have the Holy Spirit "upon" their flesh during the tribulation.

Acts 2:16-18

Psalm 33:20 - Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.

We no longer have to wait!

Psalm 149:6 - Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;

Psalm 150:6 - Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.
