Part III
And
not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
by whom
we have now received the atonement.
Romans 5:11
Of course, I do believe there is joy to be found in the entire King
James Bible - from Genesis to Revelation!
Yes I do! There are joyful truths than can be found throughout
the entire Bible.
If some of those joys are not directed to us specifically, they are
nonetheless truths throughout Genesis
to Revelation - but we must be able
to rightly divided the entire Bible to make sure that some things that
are specifically directed to other folks than ourselves and are then not
brought in to our own basket if they do not belong there.
So today, we will again be looking at more specific things that we know
to be taught to US from Paul
when we look at Romans to Philemon.
I am justified in God's sight by my faith, not
my works - nor by the law!
Just as if I had never sinned!
-
Romans 5:1 Therefore
being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus
Christ: vs Habakkuk
2:4b - ...the just shall live by his faith.
-
Romans 4:5,6 -
But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly,
his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth
the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without
works,
-
Galatians 2:16 -
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the
faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might
be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for
by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
-
Galatians 3:11 -
But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident:
for, The just shall live by faith.
I am redeemed
-
Galatians 3:13: Christ
hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us:
for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
-
Christ was our coupon! Someday the entire coupon
will be redeemed! See Romans 8:22,23
- For we know that the whole creation groaneth
and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves
also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan
within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our
body. Philippians 3:21
- Who shall change our vile body, that
it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working
whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
-
Revelation 21:6 -
And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and
the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water
of life freely. (Well beyond all
the times He stated, It is finished... )
Sin has no dominion over me!
-
Romans 6:14 -
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law,
but under grace.
-
Romans 5:20 - Moreover
the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded,
grace did much more abound:
-
Now we have the 'choice.' and this being the hour
of temptation (Revelation3),
'that' is the battle we must fight! Romans
7
-
Let's read it all...
Romans 6:11-17 - Likewise reckon ye also
yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus
Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body,
that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your
members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves
unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments
of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you:
for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we
sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants
ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto
righteousness? But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin,
but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered
you.
-
Sin is not yet conquered, but the law has been taken
care of! See Romans 7:15-23
-
That inner battle is proof of salvation to me.
-
The law is no longer there for righteousness -
Romans 10:4
-
Dead to the law -
Romans 7:4
-
Made free from sin because Christ took care of the
law - Romans 6:18
-
Romans 8:2 - For
the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the
law of sin and death.
-
Galatians 2:21 -
I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law,
then Christ is dead in vain.
I am one of Christ's ambassadors - for his words
AND life!
-
2 Corinthians 5:20
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by
us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. note:
"Us TO God," not "God to us!" - SeeRomans
1:23(See
Ephesians
2,3)
-
Philippians 1:20 - According
to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I
shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also
Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or
by death. That is Paul speaking
- we are to follow him! Boldness to do right! If they don't
'do Paul,' then we are to have no company with them! II
Thessalonians 3:6-15. (Some
of you parents really don't believe this one, do you; or maybe you don't
know how to deal with your kids when you put your foot down in this area
of their life; or maybe you just think I am just plain wrong on this one
- that I am just 'preaching' hot air on this one???)
-
II Corinthians 4:10,11
- Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the
life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which
live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also
of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
-
Not to be just doctrine disputors -
gainsayers
- strivers - but doctrine doer's too! No wonder the
Jews didn't like Paul. He wanted more than just talkers! And
no wonder folks ignore Paul's gospel today, too - it involves their walk
as well as their soul!
-
Or are you just an ambassador for yourself?
See II
Corinthians 5:15 - And that he died for
all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but
unto
him which died for them, and rose again.
