In 2003, we looked at some of Paul's desires he had towards us.

How are have you been doing since then?
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves.
Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you,
except ye be reprobates?
II Corinthians 13:5

I am sure that some folks think I have gone nutso over this King James Bible, but I even believe now that 'that which is perfect' has come, we can and ought to examine ourselves by the Book - and not by 'feeling's, comparing ourselves to others or even just our own opinion. I would even apply that verse by saying, Examine yourselves, whether ye be in your Bible: prove your own selves by the Book!

Have you benefited from Paul's teachings?
(not meaning modern Christianity's selfishness)

I Thessalonians 4:1 - abound more and more

II Corinthians 1:15 - 2nd benefit see 2:1 - no more heaviness - these folks have grown!

Romans 1:11 spiritual gifts to be established (KJB today, of course) which will in turn:

1) Has your walk improved?

Colossians 1:10 - That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

more pleasing unto God
being fruitful in every good work
increase in knowledge of God

doing right rightlier?

more confidence?
more peace?
more comfort?
more understanding?
more joy?
more direction?

2) Have you been enriched?

I Corinthians 1:4-8
ENRICH

To fertilize; to supply with the nutriment of plants and render productive; as, to enrich land by manures or irrigation.
To store; to supply with an abundance of any thing desirable; as, to enrich the mind with knowledge, science or useful observations.
To supply with any thing splendid or ornamental; as, to enrich a pointing with elegant drapery; to enrich a poem or oration with striking metaphors or images; to enrich a garden with flowers or shrubbery.

3) Have you cleaned up some things in your life?

Ephesians 2:2,3 - Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

6) Have you been better encouraged when you are around those family and friends that die?

7) Have you learned more about Israel and even the 'conflict' in the Middle East today?

No need to buy a bunch of books on Israel and the Middle East, etc. The Bible has all we need to know. They are still God's chosen people, but...

8) Are you less 'trying' to (imitate) 'be like' Jesus; but learning to follow Paul better.

We see that even today, Paul could still be getting fruit put to his account!
Through us!

Christ gets the glory, Paul gets the rewards... seems fair, eh?
He ought to - all we are to know that is to us directly today...
