The KJB is My Rock Today!

Preached May 6, 2007 - a.m.

Since 1611, the Rock has been this Bible - the King James 1611 English Bible - not just to the English speaking people, but to the whole world. They had better learn to read English or find an English speaking preaching missionary! Romans 10:14,15

The truth is not some mystical 'feeling' that comes to your heart' (Acts 2 and early Corinthians, etc.). That all only leads to another Jesus and another spirit through another gospel - which is exactly what Paul warns the Gentiles about!

Talk Ye of His Wondrous Work - the KJB!

O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
Psalm 105:1

I am again making known His deed of God's perfecting of this Bible!
This is a most wondrous work!
Rejoice as you seek what is in that Book!
That book is the source of God's strength today - it is his face!
Let's not forget his marvelous work - the King James Bible!
It is a wonder - it is the judgments of his mouth!

My KJB is my Rock today because:

1. ...of the language it was completed in - English! (Letters even have their own meanings that fit the word; rhythm & meter along with rhyme, etc.)
2. It is perfect - complete - done! I Corinthians 13:10
3. Of the characteristics of inspiration! The word of God, not the word of men! I Thessalonians 2:13
4. Preserved as promised as it fits the preservation process - in detail!
5. Rightly Dividing helps focus in on the past, present and future - it isn't in chronological order, but it is in dispensational order!
5. No contradictions!
6. No confusional conflicts!
7. My only guide that I can trust - 100%! Even the 'moment' I return to it after a departure from it!
8. It has to be my guide - nothing else can be! (religion, science, education, pastors, teachings, friends & family have all failed at one time or another!)
9. Nothing else claims to be - other than the feelings of the flesh and the KJB exposes all that as false as well!
10. History of the KJB - only one back to Antioch!
11. Copyright issues are non-existent
12. The hate directed towards it AND towards those who believe it to be the 'only.' Even from the 'almost KJB' family! Boy, do these folks hate Paul!
13. It has worked and still works in my life - even my personal private life! It has corrected me and continues to do so - it instructs me in righteousness, etc.
14. It is working in other lives - great testimonies when folks get their Bible back to them again!
15. This book is the power of God today - the only time in history it is in this completed / perfect format - written!
16. It would tell me all that I would NEED to know - it is sufficient in all things - if I would just submit to it more, as I learn the understanding of it all!
17. It has survived for almost 400 years!
18. It answers everything - if one truly seeks the answers, they are there! (i.e. - Atheist Scientist proving morality beginnings)
19. It would fix people's lives - young and old - it is all they need to get back into life right this time!
20. It would guide the kids even as kids!
21. Better than pictures / images! Proverbs 25:11 - A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.
22. Only Bible that teaches some certain doctrinal teachings!
23. It is the only thing that fits the "anointed" description today - but for today only! Psalm 105:15 - Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets on harm. I John 2:27 - But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
24. It is the only one that claims to be the gospel of our salvation, the word of truth, so it is the only one that deals with salvation truthfully!
25. It shows it must be magnified even higher than His name! Psalm 138:2
26. It speaks the truth about truth!
27. It makes us free and tells us how - in detail! All the others only say they 'set you free.'
28. The simplicity of it all yet it is as deep as bottomlessness can be!
29. It speaks with final authority as did Jesus Christ Himself - and gets the same reaction & response as He did!
30. It is our confidence!
31. It is our assurance!
32. It is the only Bible that does not attack the Deity of Christ!
33. Nothing has been added to it nor has anything been taken away from it!
34. It is the Great Cleanser - John 15:3; Psalms 119:9
35. It is our method of victory over death and hell as well as the enemies of God and of His number one enemy, the Devil!
36. It is the source of the faith of Jesus Christ as well as the source of growth for our faith!
37. It is our wisdom & understanding!
38. Only by it do come to understand God's judgment as well as His longsuffering, peace, goodness and grace!
39. It is the source of our gladness and joy!
40. It is the right weapon for the right warfare!
41. It is our comfort!
42. It is the great equalizer - it lifts up the downtrodden and brings down the prideful!
43. It stumps the scholars!
44. Its confounds the wise!
45. It brings to nought things that are!
46. It gives us a true comparison standard - NOT ourselves or other kids kids towards our own, etc.
47. It is our guide to proper hate! Romans 12:9 - ... Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Is evil a joke or just so used to it, we can just live with it?
48. The Great Forgiver!
49. The great judge in a preliminary court!
50. The only one that tells us our sins are washed in His blood!
51. The only that teaches us about the risen Christ - beyond the Crucifixion!
52. The only one that teaches us how to be approved by God Himself!
53. The only one that can keep me from doting about questions and strifes of words.
54. The only one that can keep me from envy, strife, railings and evil surmisings.
55. The only one that can keep me from having a corrupt mind destitute of the truth.
56. The only one that can keep me from thinking gain is godliness!
57. It is the only one that tells me to study it!
58. It is the only thing more powerful than music in a persons daily life!
59. It is the only one that can keep me from thinking like a Gentile - in the vanity of my mind! Ephesians 4:17
60. It is the only one our children and grandchildren need to know as well as know about! Romans 16:19 - ...but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.
61. It is the only one that is Holy! The others take out the word 'holy.'
62. It is the great peacemaker that makes us a child of God!
63. It is the only place we find out the truth about Paul and from Paul!
64.. It is all I need today - for everything!

But it must be opened!

It is the only Rock that when opened will waters gush out!
He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river!
Psalm 105:41

But it must be opened in order to run into those dry places!

So open it!

Psalm 28:1-3
Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me:
lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.

Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee,
when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.

Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity,
which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.
