The Entire King James Bible is written FOR us, but it is not all written TO us!
We learn from the "For" and study to apply the 'TO!"

Rejoicing, Not Reveling!
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
I Corinthians 13:6

This sermon is a spin off from "From Reveling to Rejoicing" from this past Wednesday.

Review notes from last week - From Reveling to Rejoicing
People always 'wonder' if we 'like' anything!
Today, we will look at the Scriptures concerning some specifics that we could and should be rejoicing after - using Paul as our 'ensample!'

We Rejoice!

Not to condemn myself!
If the entire family believes!
Having the opportunity to 'answer for myself.'
When we are weak, because of God's grace, then we are strong!
The law of God after the inward man!
With them that rejoice!
With them that are honoured!
In the truth!
In the Lord!

Spiritual and practical application for the home!  Parents / Pastors, etc.

My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine.
Yea, my reins shall rejoice, when they lips speak right things.
Proverbs 23:15,16
The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice:
and he that begetteh a wise child shall have joy of him.
Proverbs 23:24
They father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice.
Proverbs 23:25

Your desire, as a Parent / Pastor, of your children towards you!

That they made a change in their life - a real one!
Those joys of godly sorrow with results also gives you/us the confidence as a parent toward their child / pastor towards the people!
As the pastor is 'needed' less and less, it is because the person is getting stronger towards perfection!
As the parent is 'needed' less and less, it is because the children are growing stronger towards perfection!
Your efforts not being in vain!
If sacrifice is necessary, it is worthy it, if there are results!
Spiritual growth is exciting - and is a two way street - a rejoicing "from" them, as well!

Rejoice evermore.
I Thessalonians 5:16
