Practical Preaching of Practical Christianity from Pastor Paulson
RESULT OF, not a CAUSER TO

Opening Introduction and thoughts:

You'd almost think we are in the Tribulation by where our guys are preaching from these day!
1)  With so many folks using Hebrews through Jude (especially Peter and I John, etc. ) these days - and the Gospels - and early Acts, one could almost think we are in the Tribulation now.  You sure do see the 'newbies' preaching from these books - ESPECIALLY from early Acts.  Guilt from the latter ones and spiritual awareness, etc. from Acts and Gospels.

i.e. Newest Chick tract: - 2 references from OT; 1 from I Peter, 2 Hebrews; 4 James; 10 Gospels; 3 from Paul's Epistles (1 Romans, 2 from Cor) and 1 from Revelation.

If this was the Tribulation, then Paul's teachings - ways - traditions, etc. are OUT!  Now Paul's gospel becomes the false gospel.  People sure seem to act like that already, eh!

Then the gospel today would be Revelation 14:6-12!

But there is no way we are IN the Tribulation yet!  WE ARE STILL HERE

But it sure does seem like an 'almost' status! But... we are only 'out of season.' We can still see remnants of the Philadelphian era - but only remnants! Encouraged?  We should be!  We are NOT in the Laodicean lukewarm church age - so don't act like one!

We have a local church to support, the brethren (local and webfamily), the KJB rightly divided, the right Christ, the right gospel, Paul - and your own personally designed KJB - nothing other than text and the design you want!  Nice book cover - nothing to hide.  Food, clothing and a house!  Proverbs 30:7-9  Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die: Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:  Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD?  or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.

Christianity is STILL about Good Works!
Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
Romans 2:6

Just Not for Salvation!
Romans 4:5,6 - But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.  Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

Romans 11:6 - And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

Galatians 2:16 -  Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Ephesians 2:8,9 - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Titus 3:4-7 - But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;  Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Now, the results of one's walk will depend on his salvation or not!  Judgment Seat of Christ or White Throne!

Our walk is to be a "RESULT OF" - not "TO CAUSE"
God's working in our lives.
Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works,
which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Paul's Mission - and results:
Acts 26:20 - But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

A Walk Worthy of the Lord!

Walk to Please God!
Colossians 1:10a - That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing...

Walk Worthy Means Doing His Works!
Ephesians 4:1 - I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;  Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
I Thessalonians 2:11,12 - As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children,  That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

It Can Be Done - It is God's will!
I Thessalonians 4:1-3a - Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.  For this is the will of God,

We are to CAST OFF the Old Works!
Romans 13:11,12 - And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
Ephesians 5:11 - And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

We have a been given a pattern to follow!

Paul's!
I Timothy 1:16 - Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
Philippians 4:9 - Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
I Corinthians 4:17 - For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.
II Thessalonians 2:15 - Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

A Good Ladies Pattern
I Timothy 2:9,10 -  In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
I Timothy 5:9,10 - Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man,  Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.

Young Folk's Pattern
Titus 2:6,7 - Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded. In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works:

Those with the goods...
I Timothy 6:18 - Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

We are to be zealous of good works!
Titus 2:13,14 - Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

It is profitable to maintain good works!
Titus 3:8 - This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

Good Works is the Goal of the Book!
II Timothy 3:16,17 - All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Does the pattern you show to others instead
deny the true Christ; & the true Book?

Titus 1:15,16 -  Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.  They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
