Put
the Brethren in Remembrance
of Paul's
Ways

Part I
If thou put the brethren in remembrance
of these things,
thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus
Christ,
nourished up in the words of faith and
of good doctrine,
whereunto thou hast attained.
I Timothy 4:6
I Corinthians

We are reminded
through our King James Bible today and the books of Timothy are one area
of our remembrances.
-
Read all of
I Timothy 4
We are NOT
reminded by:

Lords Supper

Giving of money

Personal sacrifices
- Hebrews 10:3
-
Magic Jesus -

clues of this
inner working ' being led, etc.' of Jesus Christ as we head toward the
Tribulation / I Peter 1:15; II Peter 1:12,13;
Jude 5,10
The Holy Ghost
reminds us today through the King James Bible!

So be sure to
be reading, listening to exhortation of the KJB rightly divided and studying
time. I Timothy 4:13, II Timothy
2:15,16, etc.

I.
Modern Religion Subverts the Hearer!
-
II Timothy

Subvert
-
1. To overthrow
from the foundation; to overturn; to ruin utterly.
-
2. To corrupt;
to confound; to pervert the mind, and turn it from the truth.
-
You can't talk
with them
-
1) there are those
who are conceited and won't listen
-
2) there are the
quitters - they are mad at God see I
Thessalonians 4:7-8
II. The
Final Result of the Folly of Following a False Religion
-
II Timothy
3:9
-
When the folly
of religion is manifest, they no longer believe there is a God - or if
there is absolute truth.
-
they discover
there is no "power in prayer"
-
they still have
sad, horrible, etc. things happen to many of them
-
they were not
blessed physically when they were living 'right'
-
the brethren are
rotten
-
they see church
faces vs home faces
-
they see hypocrites
- and even know they are one
-
they see no chastisement
to guide them, like the preachers preaches from the Tribulation books...
without that chastisement they think they are doing fine until they crash
- then they wonder where God was through it all.
-
they end up mad,
however they don't realize they are really just mad at God
-
Is there a true
religion?
-
Yes - in the Tribulation
- see James 1:27
III.
Paul's Battles and Our Battles are Personal - we both have them!
-
Romans 7:15-25
-
Throw in Romans
8 and Colossians
2:16
-
How else could
he not impute our sins.
-
He got rid of
the law for righteousness and the Scriptures tell us where there is no
law, there is no transgression.
-
But sin is still
in our flesh - and we choose to or not to follow it. But it isn't
us - it is the sin that dwelleth in us!
-
Through it all,
Paul ...
-
had horrible persecution,
but was never forsaken (except by man)
-
was delivered
from the lion
-
was troubled but
not distressed
-
was perplexed
but not in despair
-
was cast down
but not destroyed
-
II Corinthians
4:10-18- Paul lived for Christ, not for
himself!
-
II Timothy
4:6-8 - He never gave up!
IV. Fun
vs Enjoyment
-
I Timothy 6:17
-
We are approaching
the Tribulation, so we will see these things build and build...
-
II Peter 2:18,19

Ephesians 4:9
- Lasciviousness
-
The world / family
constantly try to halt you by trying to make you have 'fun.'
-
Our flesh does
the same thing - seeks to win over our mind!
-
We are guilty
of teaching our kids to have 'fun' instead of 'enjoying'
something?
-
Sure, 'kids will
be kids,' but they still need to be trained - guided.
-
that is cop-out
statement for parents who can't control their own kids.
-
Kids don't need
to learn that they need to 'let it all go' at times!
-
The true family
seems to be dead!
-
both work
-
kids are left
to their own
-
Proverbs 29:13

We have been taught
that we all 'must' have:
-
fun clothes
-
fun food
-
fun music
-
fun schooling
-
fun family stuff
-
fun games
-
fun tv / movies
/ special effects / plots, etc.
-
fun future
-
fun sports
-
girls
-
immodest, take
away their femininity / God's design, teaches bad mannerisms for a woman,
teaches them to be aggressive, destroys shamefacedness, coaches abuse and
false teachings, etc.
-
boys
-
intense competition
at all costs, immodest, but at least they can be the ones to be aggressive,
loud, tough, etc. unless the guys become the cheerleaders at the girls
games, etc.
-
But it still takes
over the family - you must design and schedule your family around this
intensely serious schedule, etc... even on 'church days,' etc.
-
For example, school
doesn't have to be fun but they can learn to enjoy learning and the simple
fact that they are learning, etc..
-
We can still enjoy
what God has given us, but the world gives us fun!
-
Fun = Flesh
