Priesthood of believers? No such thing today - but it is coming!
Paul says nothing about it.
2nd Mini- sermon bunny trail!
Question was asked about James 4:11
- speaking evil of the law - judging the law!
Remember that in those tribby days, they will have the law to deal with
– and if they speak evil of his brother (they can lose their salvation
if they don’t love the brethren!!!) they are in all actuality, speaking
evil of the law – they don’t agree with it – and they then are actually
judging the law...
People do it today... they don’t like the law so they don’t want
to be a Christian. Well, they don’t know that the law isn't what
we are to follow today if they would just trust Christ, etc..
If they knew the whole story, I believe they would be more than willing
to trust Christ!
But then there is the ‘KJB’ and other Christians today that are judging
God’s grace... they don’t agree with it as Paul teaches it – so, they are
in all actuality judging Paul – judging the KJB – judging us for trying
to be the Paul Christian – judging those decisions we make as we grow in
judgment and knowledge and try to change our lives – so, they are even
judging our lives and that is the very thing they accuse us of.
Now, on to the main feature tonight!
Will we rule and reign with Christ
during the Millennium?
No - Christ rules and will rule with a rod of iron.
See Revelation 12:5
See Revelation 19:15
Unfortunately, there are those parents who choose to guide their family
as if it were the Tribulation (see previous sermon on
I Corinthians 14:3 - they have no comfort in their home leadership.
We see that they just rule the house with their rod of iron!
That is not Paul's way of example - that is a Tribulation designed family
- and believe me, there are many like that in the churches today!
Also see I Thessalonians 2:11.
From this point on, the remaining part of the
audio sermon is based on the following verses about 'reigning' with Christ!
We start with:
Romans 5:13,14
Romans 5:17
Roans 5:21
Romans 6:12
Key verse tonight - II Timothy 2:12
- If we suffer, we shall also reign with him:
if we deny him, he also will deny us.
Revelation 5:10
Revelation 11:15
Revelation 19:6
Revelation 20:4
Revelation 20:6
Revelation 22:5
