We move from Solomon to the Divided Kingdoms.  And today, we will put special emphasis on Elijah as we read his story to the kids.  This guy sure had an exciting life - yet he got to a point where he wanted to quit - die, just because of a threat from a mean and wicked CruellaDeville of the OT days.  There certainly are lessons to learn from Elijah for kids AND adults - even for us today!

What happens when one looks to Paul for his preaching and teaching on music?  After all we have done in the music area, it seems my final chapter has now been written concerning music.  What does Paul say about music?  What can we learn from rightly dividing music?  I hope this sermon helps us all truly see what is going on with music in our churches today - and in America, but hopefully, not in your family!

Christ has certainly changed us the moment we trusted in Him with our soul!  However, have we made any changes in our physical life / walk ourselves?  We should! Paul will show us those needed changes through what he told to Timothy.  The lost world may think the world revolves around them, but Christians ought to know that Christianity is not about us - but about the Lord! Take the challenge - seek some change in your physical walk - and let Paul show us as we go through Paul's Timothy Epistles.

We are beginning a series on 'changes' in our walk that the Book of Timothy will show to us.  Tonight, we hear a few things about 'no other doctrine;' Paul's past; God's no longer winking at ignorance; bottom line of what a Christian is and our pattern of living to follow today.  We also see who it is that people are 'sent to' when they give up, quit and go to the world - it isn't God that works on them - it is Satan.  (Notes will be up soon...)

Before we get into any more of the details of the do's and don'ts from "Paul to Timothy to Us," let us remind ourselves that as there ARE results from NOT following Paul's Epistles, there are also benefits FROM following Paul. 

We are going to be looking at the details of what Paul taught to Timothy who was to pass it all on to us through the King James Bible today.  I do, however, believe it can be a hard series to preach these days - I call it, "Pastor's Suicide Sermon Series." 

I am hoping that just maybe we could get some encouragement and strength from seeing the fruit of making changes in our lives to follow Paul's teachings!
