I
Nehemiah
is full of great reading. We can see the detail of the Old Testament
preaching, dedicating buildings, etc., music, worship, etc. Is what
we are doing 'for church' today something we should still be doing
or is it all just designed on the Old Testament, thus meaning nothing to
God today? Could that be possible? See some great detail of
how the enemy works towards the Christian who wants to strengthen his/her
Christian walk. Yes, this is a marvelous book to read! I hope
you do - and then also listen to this audio sermon to hopefully help get
the understanding of Nehemiah. |

Kids! Will You Become Bird Food Someday?
We officially conclude
our Learn from Birds series tonight. We have studied what Solomon
taught us through birds. It was quite a series as we had to take
some pretty 'hard' sermons as parents concerning our families. Tonight
I warn the kids about becoming bird food. Bird food? Yes -
it may have seemed to be a scary topic, but it is an important one.
I hope the seed from this sermon forever rests in the hearts and minds
of out kids so that they do NOT ever become bird food. I hope they
are attendees at the correct supper! |

Introduction
"Snuffing
at Truth"
Normally
reserved for SS class, I see such importance in the Book of Malachi for
us today, I thought it would be best to do the introduction tonight.
We see the condition of the Jews at the end of the OT; however, we can
also see the condition of Christianity as we must be about to see the NT
come to a close. The comparisons are amazing - IF one believes the
KJB to be the only Word of God today and are willing to look at themselves
more than others. |

Now
we look at the details of Malachi and we most certainly see that the description
of the 'end of the OT' pretty much matches today's 'end of the NT' days.
We see details in comparison of the priests and pastors, etc. We see so
much OT in today's religious proceedings - knowing that Paul challenges
them on worshipping an unknown God. |

them directly. We look to Paul to see the importance of his example
and ensample for and to us. Then we hear how we must be the right
example for our kids. |

Blood of Jesus Christ - Past, Present & Future
Who knows that there
was blood shed at the time of Christ's birth as well as at His death?
Today, we consider the blood that has always been where Christ / Jesus
has been and the certainty that there will be blood in the future - UNLESS
you are a true Bible believing Paul following Christian today. For
us, the blood has already been shed. How about you? |

Now that the time of
'giving' is past, we look at what was 'given.' We see what Christ
'gave' to us and what we should 'give' back to Him. We also touch
on John 3:16 again, and see how that verse is not applicable to us like
it was during the gospel days. Believing IN him is not enough during
our times today. An interesting look at what they had to believe
in the gospel days compared to what we are to believe in these days. |

of Psalms

we look at a general introduction to the Book of Psalms as well as how
Jesus was influenced enough by the Psalms that He made reference to them.
Now remember, the purpose of this series is to see what is in the OT FOR
us, not to us - and knowing that the Psalms are not TO us, what exactly

Is Paul really a setter
forth of strange gods? Is what Paul preaches and teaches truly the
'stuff' we are NOT to follow? Are we to 'follow' Jesus in the Gospels
and ignore Paul - or just use him as we can fit them into our sermons and
lives, etc. Let's look at what the Bible says about those strange
gods and compare them to the real God! |

"Girdle Christian" is a "Good For Nothing" Christian
Jeremiah 13:10
Learning from Jeremiah, we see some excellent verses that
we could learn from when it comes to us serving other gods today.
We are to be following the Living God - which we know is following Paul
as he teaches us about the Risen Christ. We have no reason whatsoever
to follow any other 'gods' in our life! We are seeing more and more
'Girdle Christians' these days - I hope you are not one of them - nor will
you ever become one! |
