- How They Affect Us All**
We did a 'short' simplified
presentation about melody, harmony and rhythm - what God, man and the devil
thinks of those elements. We then ended up listening to some music
that ought to show you what is going on in our Bible Believing churches
lately with this craze of bluegrass Christian country bumkin travelin'
family professional music. it doesn't matter what some great hero
of the faith preacher says, it does matter what the Lord says about music!
I have heard comments already that this 'illustration' helped them possibly
see some of the rhythm flesh problems with this music today. The
'notes' for this sermon are on the powerpoint
presentation page and would be good to follow as you listen to the
sermon. It is also available on DVD and on a CD with auudio of the
sermon dubbed in. |

What are the references/ensamples
that show us specifically how music is used by the unsaved - the world,
etc. This little sermon will put the 'pressure' on those who
still play the music of the world as we drive to and from work, as we do
what the world does, etc. I do think this sermon makes it very plain
about the worlds' music not being God's way! There are no notes,
but the powerpoint
presentation shows the same verses we see tonight. |

Events in the Bible
We look at an interesting look
at the major musical events in the Bible. You can learn from these
'events' about the value of praising God - honestly, that is, and how He
filled the temple with His glory in those days, He can do the same for
us today. But... it isn't the local church we are talking about,
it is us - as WE are the temple of God today. So... the obvious conclusion
is that our Praises Please God and if we see what He did physically
in the OT because of praises to Him, we ought to be able to experience
the same form Him spritually today - just by praising God from the heart
- and meaning it! But remember, we are not talking about fancy modern
rhythmic fleshy arrnagements of hymns, etc. |

Pause That Refreshes
This gap of grace inserted by
God into His time design and headed up by Paul (whose name means 'pause')
is a great opportunity for Christians. God's grace & mercy is made
available to and for all. What a time of refreshment this should
be, in spite of all that the devil and the world throws at us! There

Purpose
of Music
While this particular sermon
is a bit different than the 'original' one dealing with Psalm
68:4, it is something certainly to consider as to whether or
not your music praises God or praises the antichrist. You will notice
some 'sounds' at the end of the sermon that deal with the 'design' of the
platform area as we had the 'hunter season' decor around the pulpit.
Anyway - this is about music and the one and only purpose, to Praise God
and just exactly who do we praise, worship and rejoice over - Jesus Christ!
I hope it is a blessing to those who sit through it all - but especially
I hope God shows you more about music - music according to the King James
Bible. |

Red Riding Hood Churches
Thoughts, comments and statements
on the effects on our church from the newest law that is not only devastating
corporations, it is a potential church killer! It is called the Sarbane-Oxley
Act. I compare this all to the story of Little Red Riding Hood on
the audio - the written notes are comments & excerpts from the audio
sermon. If you are interested at all in this law and touchet baptist
church, I ask that you take the time to listen to the entire sermon.
It is more of a 'talk' to the family and you website folks are family,

Greater Commission Preaching vs Great Commission
These are specific things that
Paul said he preached about. Even though many of these things were
also preached in the Great Commission time, it is just confusing to Christians
to take folks back to the gospels and mix it all with Paul. That
is "picking and choosing" to them - just teach them Rightly Dividing and
show them how you follow Paul's example. That will help folks with
their understanding of the Bible! |
