Issue Introduction to folks in NC
I was given the privilege of
preaching on music in the p.m. service at People's Fellowship Baptist Church
in Rocky Mount, NC - This was the Sunday following David's' wedding.
This particular sermon was given to 'introduce' folks to the music 'issue'
and the necessity of knowing what the Bible says about music instead of
your own opinion. |

Your Ways!
Continuing comments on the movie
The Passion of Christ as it obviously portrays the antichrist with Christ
in the movie having his right eye darkened. So, we look to Haggai chapter
1 to see if folks will accept the challenge to consider their ways as we
are certainly seeing more and more of the devil's work these days in ecumenicalism.
In this sermon we consider the words of the antichrist and the words of
God. God challenges us to arise up, quickly and throw off those chains
that we have put on ourselves and consider serving God much more than ever
before - using Haggai and his people as ensamples! |

1:18-25 tells us what to teach our children so that they don't
go the perverted ways of the world. Bonus feature: images
and what God thinks of them today. Learn about how we have all been
beguiled by images - even those images from the best preaching image-makers!
Yup, folks - this is a long one! These two subjects go together, though
- so I couldn't break them up. Our kids don't learn about God and
so the Jesus they 'ask into their heart' is often just 'another Jesus'
- then as they get older, they turn to the one images that we have all
seen - and the antichrist eventually wins your kid and the Word of God
loses out again! |

- sorry - we just had a quiet family meeting as we looked at a few scriptures
that told us about God - some very interesting comments were made from
the Scriptures - kind of a low key sermon, actually!
What do we really know about
God? Anything? Is there no wonder that those who are mixed
up about Jesus Christ are also mixed up about God in the first place?
Hear some details about God from God Himself! In other words, this
sermon should be entitled, "God Is..." and is based on Romans

who, etc. God is... Most folks today not only have "another Jesus,"
they really just don't know the truth about God either!

name of growth - in other words, I see more and more KJB preachers are
trimming our ways to seek love!
