though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly
made manifest among you in all things.

Paul did not use, nor should we be like...
...the puffed up preachers/pastors, etc. I
Corinthians 4:19,20 - But I will come to
you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which
are puffed up, but the power. For the kingdom of God is not in word, but
in power.
-
Fair speeches, good words
-
Romans 16:18 - For
they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly;
and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
-
Vain words
-
Ephesians 5:6 - Let
no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh
the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
-
Enticing words
-

this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
-

-
I Corinthians 2:4 - And
my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom,
but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
-
I Corinthians 2:13 - Which
things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but
which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
-
Lightness / fleshy?
-
I Corinthians 1:17 - When
I therefore was thus minded, did I use lightness? or the things that I
purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should
be yea yea, and nay nay?
-
Flattering words
-
I Thessalonians 2:5 - For
neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of
covetousness; God is witness:
-
Increase of Tribulation style speech from 'them.'
-
Jude 1:15 - To
execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them
of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all
their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
-
Somebody is out there bewitching us!
-
Galatians 3:1 - O
foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the
truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified
among you?
-
I Timothy 4:1-2 -
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall
depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of
devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with
a hot iron;
Our speech toward others!
Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned
with salt,
that ye may know how ye ought to answer
every man.
