Expounding the way of God more perfectly - Acts 18:26 - with the Scriptures Rightly Divided - II Timothy 2:15
What Does Paul Say About Satan?

Paul is very specific when he mentions Satan.  He calls him by his name, Satan, more than his position, Devil.

Here are some things that Paul warns us about Satan.

A good starting place is to review is to first read Isaiah 14:12-17.

We can be turned from darkness to light!
We can be turned from the power of Satan unto God!
By following Paul!

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light,
and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins,
and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
Acts 26:18

Romans 16:20 compared with Genesis 3:15
I Corinthians 5:5; I Timothy 1:20 - in Paul's ministry, he was able to turn someone over to Satan.  This is one of those things that Paul was able to do in those ministry days that is now one of those things that went away when the King James Bible came onto the scene.  I Corinthians 13:10.  What we do today is to finally let someone go their own way after we have tried and tried to help them.  However, as long as the Book is in their possession, they have the ability to free themselves from Satan's power. We don't give up totally on anyone - it is them that walk away!

II Corinthians 2:4 - Satan can have the advantage over us still as Christians.

Ephesians 6:11 - the 'wiles' of the devil

I Thessalonians 2:18 - Satan hindered Paul, so he can do the same to us.

I Corinthians 7:5 - Satan will tempt us sexually.  Husbands and wives... as well as young folks and the single ones.

II Thessalonians 2:9 - today, signs, wonders, etc. are works of Satan

Ephesians 4:26,27 - Satan will take advantage when you 'lose your temper,' etc.

I Timothy 5:15 - young women today seem to be more and more already turned aside after Satan.

II Corinthians 12:7 - the thorn was actually a messenger of Satan.

II Timothy 2:26 - Satan has taken people captive by his snares today.

I Timothy 3:6,7 - Satan grabs those young graduates who have 'learned' by the wisdom of men how to start a church / be a pastor, etc.
