More from Paul on "Sin"
"That Which Will Burn" according to Paul in Galatians

We Are to Work Out Our Salvation
And what a workout it is these days!
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only,
but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Philippians 2:12

See Part I for the Introduction.

Now, on to what Paul says about the things that we do 'wrong'
but yet knowing we can't call this stuff sin!
(note that it is just that sin within, it is not us!)

We should do things that makes us acceptable and approved unto God, amen?

II Timothy 2:15  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  Shew it means people will see it - the walk!

II Corinthians 10:18  For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.

Romans 12:1,2  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.   And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.  Prove it in in your talk AND in your walk!

Ephesians 5:8-11  For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:  (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)  Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.  And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.  This will be done literally in the Millennium and beyond, (see Psalms and the word 'light') but for now, our daily walk is what is being challenged here, to walk the LIGHT OF THE BOOK!  Psalm 119:105, 130

This is What Won't Go Away Until It Burns!
The following verses show what will burn during our Judgment Seat of Christ:
(a personal study of this list will show you what NOT to do as a Christian!)

Now if any man build upon this foundation
gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it,
because it shall be revealed by fire;
and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved;
yet so as by fire.
I Corinthians 3:12-15

Galatians 1:10-12 being a man pleaser
Galatians 2:4,5 getting caught back up into bondage (see 5:1)
Galatians 2:14-16 walking not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel!
Galatians 2:17, 18 Does our walk make us look like sinners?  If so, we make ourselves a transgressor!
Galatians 3:1 Allow yourself to become bewitched so that you choose not to obey the truth
Galatians 3:3 Begun in the Spirit but now get caught up in trying to be made perfect by the flesh!
Galatians 4:9 turning again to the weak and beggarly elements, just like it was before you got saved and were given liberty, etc.  See verse 10 for some example of being caught up in the elements.
Galatians 5:1 become entangled with the yoke of bondage (see 2:4)
Galatians 5:13 use liberty for an occasion to the flesh
Galatians 5:16,17 fulfil the lust of the flesh by staying out of the Bible, prayer, etc.
Galatians 5:19-21 From Death to Dirt - works of the flesh, here they are: see verse 24 to know that these are what are to be crucified on a daily basis for our walk.  Christ took care of the sin element of them, but we have to crucify them every day.  The sin that dwelleth within will try to get these going every day!   Thus the battle in Romans 7:15-23
Galatians 6:1;  I Corinthians 6:7;
James 5:16; I Peter 2:20
fault, not a sin
Galatians 6:12 making a fair shew in the flesh, or...
Galatians 6:13 glorying in your own flesh - even by watching others
Galatians 6:14-16 walk against this rule of verses 14, 15, and you won't have any peace - and whatever you do in place of doing right, will burn!
Galatians 6:17 Don't let someone trouble you because of your growth.  Don't let them stop you, etc.  you have paid a price to get this far in your walk! Don't let them cause your victory to crash and burn!

... this series is to be continued up to the end of Philemon
