• forwardness - cheerful readiness, expressing more than willingness; eagerness; boldness; confidence; assurance; want of due reserved or modesty!

• Losers

• grace is there to help us as we learn a walk to please God - not as an excuse to continue doing whatever we want and flaunting to others!
• Laziness
• Willing to accept the prize but...
• ...not thankful
• ...not willing to do the reasonable return service
• ...not willing to put any effort out to make any changes!
• Labouring the wrong labour
• paul's teachings -  fellowlabourer,
• labour in the word and doctrine.
• fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ
• labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
• I Timothy 4:10 - For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
• Ephesians 4:28 - Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
• Loving those we are supposed to avoid and withdraw from, etc.
• those with fair speeches - and are deceived because of it...
• grace AND truth - speaking the truth in love will make us their enemy - not trying to be their enemy on purpose... or keeping our mouth shut so we are not their enemy!

• mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
• avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
• shun profane and vain babblings:
•  avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law;
• heretick after the first and second admonition reject
• foolish and unlearned questions avoid
• they don't withdraw
• If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness ...supposing that gain is godliness:

• I Thessalonians 5:6 - Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
• I Timothy 3:11 - Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.
• Titus 2:12 - Teaching us that, ... we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
• Acts 26:25 - But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness.
• Law
• Legalism of the gospel law - both Old Testament law
• Following Tribulation law!
• Revelation 14:11,12 -
• Legalism of Paul's ways to please the Risen Saviour can become law producing bondage
• Christ is the end of the law - not the beginning of it!
• Romans 10:4 - For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
• Galatians 3:3 - Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
• No Learning of his teachings in the churches
• I Corinthians 4:17 - For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.
• pastors AND teachers...
• pew sitters and no learning - just hearing - if even that...
• no follow up discussion - just talk about their horses, their houses, their favorite hollywood movies and stars and their particular hobbies - the devil's 4-H plan!
• Liars
• parents who say one thing and do another
• talkers that don't walk their talk
• walkers who walk the wrong walk
• talkers that talk the wrong walk
• changing the truth of God into a lie
• Romans 1:25 - Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
• wrongly dividers teaching the wrong gospel
• I Timothy 6:20 - O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
• II Timothy 2:16 - But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
• ...they are proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness...
• Liberty abusers
• grace is there to help as we grow up - not as an excuse to just continue our old man's ways of following the flesh.
• sin still exists in our flesh - we now we can make the choice!
• there are still strings attached..
• I Corinthians 8:9 - But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.
• power over us
• occasion for the flesh
• expedient
• edify
• not to cause someone else to stumble
• False Lights
• II Corinthians 11:13-15 - For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
• Lip service
• Titus 1:9 - Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
• Titus 2:8 - Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.
• I Timothy 1:7 - Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
• Colossians 2:4 - And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
• Wrong Manner of Life
• II Timothy 3:10 - But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
• Looking for the wrong Christ - IF even looking at all
• Revelation 6
• II Timothy 4:8 - Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
• Titus 2:13 - Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
• I Thessalonians 1:10 - And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
• Today, we are to be looking for the rapture, not the Second coming!
• I Thessalonians 4:16-18 - For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
• Looking at the wrong things with their eyes
• Romans 3:18 - There is no fear of God before their eyes.
• However, for Christians, this is not to be a fear of God's judgment, chastisement or vengeance on any of us today.
• Even the lost have no fear...
• because of Romans 2:4,5 - Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
• Romans 1:21-23 - Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
• II Timothy 2:20 - vessels ... of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
• I Corinthians 15:33 - Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
• Luke 21:26 - Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
• Yes, this verse is only for tribulation application, but folks are sure warming up their eyes today the great time of Jacob's trouble, eh!
• Loss for 'Christians' judgment seat rewards, etc.
• Romans 2:16 - In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
• I Corinthians 3:13-15 - Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.  If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
• Lost when they think they are saved
• II Corinthians 11:14 - And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
• Ephesians 1:13 - In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
• II Timothy 2:15 - Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
• II Corinthians 11:4 - For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
• Loudness
• I Timothy 2:2: For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
• Proverbs 7:10-11 - And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart. (She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house: ...
• I Timothy 2:9-12 - In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
• Lust
• Romans 13:14 - But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
• Galatians 5:16 - This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
• Galatians 5:17 - For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
• I Timothy 6:9 - But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
• II Timothy 3:6 - For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
• II Timothy 4:3 - For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
• Lack of changed lives
• Paul's teachings still must enter in to us and change our lives!
• I Thessalonians 1:9 - For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God...
• Acts 26:18 - To open their eyes, a nd to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan...
• Acts 26:20 - ... that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
• Loving this present world
• II Timothy 4:10: For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.
• Titus 2:12: Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
• Colossians 1:2-3 - Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
• Lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God
• Luke 8:14 - And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
• Pleasures even existed in the Gospel days!
• II Timothy 3:4 - Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
• Laodiceanism getting closer and closer!
• Revelation 3:15-17 - I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
• But not yet - we are still in Philadelphian!
• See verse 10 - Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Galatians 4:11 -  I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.
Philippians 2:16 - Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
I Thessalonians 2:1 - For yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto you, that it was not in vain:
I Thessalonians 3:5 - For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.
