Corinthians According to Paul & the KJB1611

Click
to skip down to the specific chapter and verses containing the audio/video
links.
There will be few detailed written
notes for much of this particular series. The details will be much
easier to grasp if you just listen to the audio as we read through I
& II Corinthians.
The purpose is not to make this into
my detailed personal commentary on Corinthians,
but to be emphasizing how the understanding of these verses depend on the
concept of 'before the KJB' and 'after the KJB.'
-
We know the key to understanding a King
James Bible is to rightly divide according to Paul's books.
II Timothy 2:15,16
-
We also need to know the key to understanding
Corinthians
is to rightly divide Corinthians according to 'before KJB' and 'after
KJB.' I Corinthians 13:8-10
If we try to apply I
& II Corinthians TO us today exactly as stated, then
we would have a 'magic Jesus - we would have to believe in the anointing
today (I John 2:27) and
we would have to believe that we really don't 'need' a written Word of
God / Bible to learn about God, etc.
If this all does
not make sense to you, I just ask you to just give the first audio sermon
a try as I explain it completely in part I
and the rest of the sermons show how all of Corinthians makes total sense
to us today based on the importance of the King James Bible while at the
same time today, following Paul.
For this
cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, If ye have
heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore
in few words, Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge
in the mystery of Christ) Which in other ages was not made known
unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and
prophets by the Spirit; That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of
the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: Whereof
I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given
unto me by the effectual working of his power.
Ephesians 3:4-7
Even though we
read through practically each and very chapter, the verses that I 'park'
on are the ones that deal with 'do we expect this today?' and if
so, "How does it come about?"

Chapter Three and Four - July 21, 2010
-
Chapter Three
-
verses 1-3 - Does the preacher need
to be praised? Do the people need to be flattered, etc.?
-
What / who do people see to be the epistle? YE! US!
-
This shows the importance of our personal testimony.
-
verses 4-6 - our sufficiency is of
God, not in ourselves
-
the letter of the law vs the spirit - OT & Gospels verses Paul!
-
verses 7-11 - the manifestations and
glories
-
verse 12 - those manifestations are
our hope!
-
verse 12 - because of all that, the
KJB is the plainness of speech for us today!
-
verses 13-16 - the vail is still on
those who's heart has not turned to the Lord!
-
verses 17-18 - liberty for those saved
/ because we are changed!
-
Chapter Four
-
verse - 1 - Therefore
(104); wherefore (46); for
(194 just from Romans to I
Corinthians); for as
(16); we then (4).
-
note closely the differences when the word 'us'
& 'we' is used verses 'you.'
-
this sermon has more detailed commentary showing the KJB so it is better
to just listen to the audio.
-
verses 10-12 - the LIFE of Jesus would
be the risen life, not the earthy life directed to the Jews.
-
The Gospels life of Jesus was fulfilling and walking the law - including
confession of sins, etc.
-
The life we are to live today is the teachings of the living Saviour in
Paul's epistles, the apostle to the Gentiles and the Church of God!
-
verse 17 - good verse to remind us
that our afflictions are nothing - they have eternal reward!
-
verse 18 - more and more 'Christians'
are looking at the temporal - that which is seen.
-
They don't see God's miracles, etc. and so they figure God is not true.
-
They miss the eternal things that are not seen.
-
This continues on in Chapter 5 - 'for...'

Chapter Five - July 25, 2010
-
see 4:17,18 and 5:7
- as an introduction to this chapter
-
we look at the light affliction as horrible persecution... no faith as
to what it really is!
-
we are to live by faith, not by sight.
-
people are quitting God today because they have no more faith (if they
ever even had any) - going by sight only, and unless they understand through
rightly dividing, they will not see anything until the Tribulation - then
they will see plenty!
-
Pastors are preaching 'sight' - no faith!
-
The Gospels are living by 'sight' - the risen Saviour guides us by faith.
-
We return a walk that by sight to others, is to be a good testimony to
the Risen Saviour!
-
1-4 - are you burdened to be ... -
do you have an earnest desire to be clothed?
-
or are you like everyone else these days?
-
not bothered that you choose or even have to 'show' your immodesty
-
NO shamefacedness in most women today
-
don't compare your modesty to others who are 'not as bad as yours!'
-
when someone tells you that you are 'immodest' because you 'stick out of
the crowd' with your modesty among a bunch of immodest women today, so
you should dress like them (isn't that the dumbest thing you have heard?)
then that is like going to a nudist colony and being told you are immodest
because you are dressed and draw attention to yourself.
-
go ahead and laugh at such a stupid thought, but I actually know a father
who puts that kind of mental retardational thinking onto his daughter.
-
most christians don't care about their 'clothing' for their Judgment Seat
of Christ, either.
-
the clothes of Revelation 3:18 and
19:8
are
earned righteousness during the Tribulation - not to us today!
-
II Corinthians 5:27 shows us that God
gives us His clothes today!
-
Then we also 'earn' our own as rewards by following Paul, etc.
-
verse 5 - earnest of the Spirit
-
verses 6-8 - present with or absent
from the Lord
-
verse 9 - to be completely accepted
of him
-
verses 10,11 - the terror of the Lord
is not the judgment seat for a Christian; it is the white throne judgment
of a lost person!
-
verses 12,13 - them which glory in
appearance, and not in heart
-
so be careful
in your own appearance - I Thessalonians
5:22
-
verses 14-17
- great verses to show we are to follow
the RISEN Christ, not the flesh one from the Gospels.
-
verses 18-20
- reconciliation - present and future
-
Romans 5:10
-
II Corinthians
5:18
-
Ephesians 2:16
-

1:20,21

Chapters Six and Seven - July 25, 2010
-
this chapter shows us that Paul cared enough about his people that he actually
challenges their salvation - something of which the KJB does EVERY time
you bring up the KJB issue to people.
-
They ask, "Are you saying I am not saved?" and you never said a thing
about their salvation!
-
verses 3-11 shows the things that happen
to a KJB as a minister of God today!
-
verses 12-13 shows us how much he cared
for them - and that they should also care as much...
-
verses 14-17 - one of the most hated
doctrines from Paul - SEPARATION!
-
verse 18 - a Father!
-
I Thessalonians 2:11 - As ye know how
we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth
his children,
-
Today, the young girls worst enemy is her father!
-
they rob their daughters of their femininity!
-
they rob their daughter of their role in pleasing God!
-
they rob their daughter of a good marriage potential!
-
they teach their daughters how to blaspheme the word of God!
-
The strong man has been taken down, and now the spoiling of the children
goes on every day.
-
Matthew 12:29 - take him down and the
spoil can begin
-
Luke 11:21 - stay armed to protect
your family / daughter, etc.
-
The father actually helps the devil do his dirty work to his daughter.

Chapter Eight
and Nine - July 28, 2010
-
Two more chapters
on 'money'
and giving!
-
Paul has very
much to say about giving, etc.
-
But it sure isn't
what you hear from the pulpits today!
-
Proper giving
is an act of grace!
-
Notice the word
'forwardness'
is NOT frowardness!
-
forwardness
- cheerful readiness; expressing more than willingness; boldness; confidence,
assurance.
-
froward
- unyielding, perverse, turning from...
-
frowardness
- shows the importance of the right heart in giving - a marvelous word!
-
I suggest that
you listen to the entire audio / video.
-
You may be like
most preachers today and take a few verses out of complete context.
-
Giving properly
is done because you love the Lord, have given yourself to the Lord, don't
give what you don't have to give but will give if you have it to give -
and you will give it cheerfully ... and more!
-
These two chapters,
together with I Corinthians 16,
you have how to 'give' today - certainly nothing like most preachers and
pastors are saying from the pulpits today!

Chapter Ten and Eleven - August 1, 2010
Paul begins to wrap things up - his final words, etc.
-
Chapter Ten
-
Verses 1-4 makes sense when you read
verse 11 first and keep it in mind
as you read 1-4.
-
verse 5 - casting down imaginations...
how hard is that these days... although we have little left to the imagination
these days...
-
verse 6 - revenge disobedience by being
obedient
-
see 7:11 to see how we should be, along
with revenge, when we finally get a victory over something!
-
Paul talks about his authority but how he uses it for edification, not
destruction.
-
That is our KJB today - our final authority looking to Paul's final authority!
-
verse 13 makes sense if you read the
definition of without our measure
in verse 15 - meaning of
other men's labours!
-
It is great to see how the KJB defines it's own words, eh!
-
verse 15 is a marvelous verse telling
us not to compare ourselves with others to make ourselves feel better
-
verse 18 reminds us that commending
is to be from the Lord - from the KJB today!
-
Chapter Eleven exposes the false pastors today - calls them ministers
of Satan!
-
verses 1-4 - Paul's main concern for
us!
-
verse 5 - define the word 'rude'
before you think Dr. Ruckman is the class act of rudeness that pleases
God. That is a wrong conclusion!
-
verse 6 - look at what you sacrifice
for the growth of others!
-
each verse from 7-15 has its own mini-sermon!
-
verses 13-15 - what a tough accusation
and description of today's preachers and pastors and teachers, etc.
-
They do preach a righteousness - their good words and fair speeches are
just that - but they don't teach God's righteousness. See Romans
10:3
-
verses 16-33 show that if Paul had
to prove who he was in the flesh, he has been through it all! Paul
has paid the price to be our apostle.
-
Look at the history of the KJB to see the same treatment by the world -
and today, even by the so-called Christians!
