Do
We Not Need the Bible Anymore?
|
Leave your Bible at home?
A statement was recently made, "We don't need our Bible to tell people
about God!" This was made by a man who says he is a Paul following
KJB Only man - and yet his outward testimony is one of a brutish man -
a lost person - one who has heard the truth about the 'walk' and has few
if any testimony of change - and his family and townspeople know it.
It has been the devil's desire to get rid of the KJB - and it is the
same desire that people have who do not want to make any changes in their
lives according to the Risen Saviour and the KJB!
So, do we need the Bible when we want to tell people about God?
Answer: Yes, and no - mostly we DO need the Bible if we want to
tell others 'about God.'
1. I have some questions for that person:
-
More and more people think we need to put the Bible away for good when
it comes to 'others'?
-
More and more people think we scare away people with our Bible.
-
More and more people think it just another book?
-
More and more people think it just another dead religious book?
2. By what authority do you believe what you believe and speak?
-
Romans 3:4 - you speak with scriptural
authority / if they come back on you, you still have scriptural truth as
your final authority.
-
Days of the law and God's judgment - yesterday's message
-
Romans 3:19 - the law shuts people
up
-
Romans 3:20 - the law gives knowledge
of sin
-
But now... dispensation of Grace - today's message
-
Romans 3:21-26 - the righteousness
of God is now manifest
-
Romans 2:4 - goodness of God vs judgment
-
Romans 10:4 - end of the law for righteousness
-
Romans 2:16 - judged by Paul's words,
given to him by Jesus Christ, available to us only through a rightly divided
KJB.
3. What is the power of 'convincing'? (not 'conviction') -
I
Corinthians 14:23-25
-
Our own reasoning, our own wisdom, education, verbal skills and manipulation,
etc.?
-
See I Corinthians 1:17
-
See I Corinthians 1:20-21
-
Our Testimony?
-
See I Timothy 4:16
-
See I Thessalonians 1:8-9
-
Philemon 5,6
-
The KJB?
-
See I Corinthians 13:10
-
See II Timothy 3:16
-
See I Thessalonians
2:13
Our Witness / Testimony MUST come with KJB Scriptural
authority,
knowledge, wisdom and power!
True Christianity is becoming more and more powerless!
-
II Timothy 3:5-9
-
Is it God's fault?
-
Is it us?
-
Do we think we can make the 'power' happen because of our good works and
good walk, etc.?
-
have uncompromising love towards everyone?
-
compromise the issues?
-
participate in works of darkness to 'win' them...?
-
lift music to worship - feed the flesh, etc.?
-
back off on KJB rightly dividing preaching?
-
back off with any authoritative attitude with your leadership, preaching,
parenting, etc,
-
pray for Jesus' magical blessings in your life?
-
do right for God's blessings and/or his chastisement to show others?
Why Today's Times are Not Easy to Show Folks the Truth!
-
1. Many 'bibles'
-
more coming
-
no interest in 'one' Bible
-
no interest in "what the Scriptures say" period!
-
false doctrine permeates religion - even in the KJB Only churches today!
-
2. People following people
-
Jude 16 - heading for tribulation -
beginning to see the signs today!
-
liars
-
deceivers
-
ministers of righteousness - of the devil
-
seeking gain to prove godliness
-
wrong dividers - profane and vain babblers
-
3. Following denominational teachings
-
never use Bible
-
mixed opinions because of the many bibles
-
4. Flesh today is in religion
-
music
-
false worship and wrong worship
-
entertainment
-
bringing in lost to the church is not the purpose of the local church
-
scatter the real christian away from the local church by starvation of
hearing the words of the Lord!
-
people want to involve themselves in their salvation - conceit!
-
they flatter themselves and others -
-
conceited Christians think they are earning God's blessings and avoiding
his chastisement, etc.
-
preparing for the anti-christ and the Tribulation
-
5. lovers of money / pleasures more than lovers of God
-
they need money so they can be involved in:
-
fashions
-
sports
-
music
-
special effects
-
movies
-
tv
-
entertainment
-
education
-
fancy churches, etc.
-
6. Been part of the folly
-
they found there is no power in prayer
-
they found that God allows even the lost to avoid judgment - for now...
-
they never saw God in their life - meaning daily blessings and protection,
etc.
-
they saw Scriptures from the Gospels, Hebrews to Jude, etc. be unfulfilled
-
7. Paul-following Christians have a lousy testimony
-
I've seen it!
-
I've heard about them!
-
I've done it myself!
-
So have you!
-
complain
-
gossip about what you should do
-
weak stand so others don't believe you anyway
-
you don't live what you believe
-
you present your stand when it is convenient
-
no stand on other things that Paul preaches - not 'convicted' yet, you
say!
-
Preach to others but never listen yourself
-
don't live ALL of Paul's manner of life - you pick and choose.
-
it includes not only mercy, prayer, longsuffering, grace, etc. but also
reprove, rebuke, etc. and then AVOID, etc.
-
you don't even see yourself going backwards instead of forwards - little
leaven, etc.
-
you can justify any change backward you want to make!
-
I have heard them and continue to do so!

The
entire King James Bible is written FOR us, but it is not all written TO
us!
We
learn from the "For" and we learn to apply the 'TO!"
