Mini Office Sermon
Short 'sermons' from the office on miscellaneous topics that come up
from emails throughout the week or just in my own reading or personal conversations.

Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men,
that turn from the truth.
Titus 1:14

What constitutes a Jewish fable?

First, let's define fable:

Now, there are some simple applications to made here as well as one very big one.

1.  I Timothy 1:4: Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

2.  I Timothy 4:7: But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. 3.  II Timothy 4:4: And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 4.  Titus 1:14 - Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.
What are these Jewish fables? You ask if I am serious?  I think the Great Commission is a Jewish fable?   Yes, very much so!
Thus we see the Great Commission could be considered a Jewish fable
that people should not give heed to!

One final clincher verse:
I will make them to come and worship before thy feet,
and to know that I have loved thee.
They will know someday that following Paul TODAY was the truth.

Following the Great Commission and Gospels, etc. today is seriously wrong
and nobody can say it any stronger than a King James Bible.

The entire King James Bible is written FOR us, but it is not all written TO us!
We learn from the "For" and we learn to apply the 'TO!"
