How
Could You Forsake Paul ?
Yes, You
!
|
Part I
Forsaking Paul is to forsake the Risen Saviour's teachings
- which is forsaking the Risen Saviour!
We will look to the Scriptures, as is our practice, anyway, instead
of our personal thoughts, opinions and observations - as good as some of
them may be!
We know it is still not right to do wrong - but we still do!
We know that all things are lawful, but that there are 'strings' attached!
But...
Why is it so wrong these days to do right?
Why do so many 'Christians' see the teachings of Paul - and the Risen
Saviour- as wrong?
-
Philippians 4:9
-
II Timothy 3:10
-
Romans 2:16
-
Philippians 1:9,10
-
I Thessalonians 4:1
-
etc. from Paul's teachings to follow him...
Why are so many KJB Paul 'claiming' Christians seem to be giving up
on Paul, thus they reject the Risen Saviour's teachings - and quite possibly
the Risen Saviour himself!
-
Was what you learned about Paul ...
-
just another 'fly by night' religious movement?"
-
just more of the folly of modern Christianity?
-
not 'fixing' your life's messes?
-
not true to you based on the 'lack of physical blessings' you figured you
would have by following Paul, etc.?
-
not fixing your life like you thought it would?
What is wrong with what Paul teaches?
-
Why do Paul's teachings, if followed, bother so many other people - especially
other Christians?
-
If the Scriptures can guide us into pleasing God, then why does it not
please others - especially when you can show Scriptural support for your
'issue.'
So, to put it back on ourselves, what could cause us
to go backwards - to depart from the faith, etc.?
Do we even or ever - or are you able - to recognize when you are
slipping - softening - justifying more and more your return to the ways
of the world, etc.?
Do Paul's fears come true with us today?
-
Galatians 4:11
-
Galatians 2:2
-
Philippians 2:16
-
I Thessalonians 2:1
-
I Thessalonians 3:5
Bullets from the enemy - excuses we use - following Paul...
-
1) ... is not practical in this world that is so crooked and perverse -
Philippians
2:15
-
2) ... only a cultural thing, anyway
-
3) ... is not comfortable
-
4) ... is not convenient
-
5) ... is wearing me out because it has to be fought for...
-
6) ... is not allowed in my circumstances and life situation
-
7) ... out of my control one way or another
-
8) ... is still something I am not totally sold on anyway, I mean...
-
9) ... based on my pastor's teaching only
-
10) ... rocks the boat too much for me, anymore.
-
11) ... makes me loved even less - and I am tired of not being loved
-
12) ... makes me almost everyone's enemy
-
13) ... keeps me out of church and fellowship - I miss that stuff!
-
14) ... keeps me from being involved in so many places..
-
15) ... makes me part of a few - and those few are not anywhere close to
me
-
16) ... is something folks just don't want to hear anymore - even our own
kids, etc.
-
17) ... keeps me from having any pleasures anymore...
Is our definition of 'right & wrong' based on:
-
1) flesh / lust
-
2) pleasure
-
3) money
-
4) gain
-
or the rightly divided word of truth - the KJB!
Let's look to the Scriptures for our final authority
Why and How would we go backwards in our Christian
walk?
1. Remember:
-
Isaiah 5:20
-
Daniel 12:36-38
-
Daniel 7:25
2. What makes us forsake Paul:?
-
Forsake Paul?
-
II Timothy 4:10,11
-
Are you no longer profitable for Paul's ministry and Commission?
-
Do you no longer support your pastor and what he preaches as the truth?
3. Are we in our own personal latter times with what we have been
learning about following Paul, etc.
-
I Timothy 4:1
-
Only the KJB can warn you properly - if you trust it for being the only
word of God!
4. Ignoring the dangers of leaven!
-
Galatians 5:1-10
-
I Corinthians 5:6-13
5. Returning to partaking of your original love of darkness and
all that goes on in the dark these day and not reproving them, instead!
-
John 3:19
-
Ephesians 5:6-11
6. Falling in love with money!
-
I Timothy 6:9,10
-
Not doing
7. Not avoiding ...
-
Romans 16:17
-
I Timothy 6:20
-
II Timothy 2:23
-
Titus 3:9
8. Not withdrawing ...
-
II Thessalonians 3:6
-
I Timothy 6:5
9. Continuing with wrong company ...
10. Not taking heed of...
-
I Corinthians 3:10
-
I Corinthians 10:12
-
I Timothy 1:4
-

The
entire King James Bible is written FOR us, but it is not all written TO
us!
We
learn from the "For" and we learn to apply the 'TO!"
