Introduction:

1.  Law was not given to Adam first - it was Moses!

• The heathen (Gentiles) were given a conscience!
• Romans 2:12-15

• It was there to show that we truly COME SHORT of the glory of God!
• Romans 3:19-23
• Galatians 3:13, 22-26

• Romans 10:4
• So now, as a Christian, all things are lawful unto me - all things are lawful for me
• I Corinthians 6:12; 10:23

• Why are more and more 'of our family' turning back to the world - Demasland?
• Is it because that with all things being lawful for/unto me, that we have to still have things we shouldn't do because:
• a) we shouldn't cause someone to stumble!
• b) we shouldn't do things that are an occasion for the flesh!
• c)  we shouldn't do things that could have a power over us!
• d)  we should do things that edify the body of Christ!
• e)  we should do things that are expedient!
• Is it so hard for us to think of 'others' anymore?

• Philippians 4:8,9
• Romans 2:16
• Are those 'things' really that bad? hard?  embarrassing?  tiring, etc.?

Why are so many retiring from Paul's teachings and moving back permanently?

Demas loved this present world - do you?  If not, will you?

It can happen to any of us!

• If we even consider living sound doctrine according to Timothy and Titus, our persecution begins!
• The attack / desire to return is very subtle!
• We can fight the obvious, but the subtle?
• We are bewitchable; seducible; not stirred in spirit anymore; we are never pressed in the spirit!
• We are around ministers of righteousness, flattery, worldly wisdom, evil communications, pride, evil men and seducers, weak on doctrine; blowable by many winds of doctrine; still thinking like children.
• Are you really trying?
• Do you ever have peace from Philippians 4:9 - at least between you and God?
• Do you ever have comfort from Titus, no matter what others think?  II Corinthians 7:6,13
• Do you ever have comfort from Timothy, no matter what others think?  I Thessalonians 3:2
• Are you just enjoying the fashion show with your modesty - are you enjoying being part of the religious 'stand' crowd but when it comes down to you alone, you have no joy or comfort from doing right?

You finally did it!

• you gave in
• you gave up
• you let yourself get worn out
• you ran out of fight
• They got to you!
• The devil got to you!
• Your flesh finally won!
• The leaven finally leavened your lump!
• You turned to following Demas instead of Paul!
• You made the choice to love this present world in spite of what the Risen Saviour has done for you already and eternally!
• You are now an official lover of pleasures more than lovers of God!
• You got tired of the constant hassling!
• You are not the soldier Christ called you to be!
• You are fine with compromise - even allowing yourself to be victimized when it comes to your own stand on things that affect your personal purity and privacy - something you can never have back once you lose it!

GOD ISN'T MAD!

• YOU DIDN'T LOSE YOUR SALVATION!
• YOU DIDN'T LOSE ANY FELLOWSHIP FROM GOD!
• You stopped, but he won't leave you - he won't quit trying.
• Philippians 1:6
• You haven't left the body of Christ - Ephesians 5:30

• II Thessalonians 3:3 - You are choosing not to do your part!
• II Timothy 4:18 - He did His part!

• He paid for it all - the devil gets no glory yet!
• Nothing was imputed!
• Your soul is still clean!
• He will take care of this file flesh of yours and the works you are doing now at His Judgment Seat.
• He will continue to allow you to do what you want!
• You will still have the peace of God!
• You will still  have peace with God!

• Philippians 1:6
• You will lose rewards!
• I Corinthians 3:14,15
• Your eternity will be dimmer than it needs to be!
• Daniel 12:23
• You will continue to reap what you sow!
• Galatians 6:7,8
• Anything 'bad' won't be God punishing you - it will be all because of you following your flesh instead of the Risen Saviour through that KJB with Paul's teachings!

• They sacrificed
• They extended effort
• They got involved with your life and heart and eternal future
• They wept when you wept
• They rejoiced when you rejoiced
• But they can not quit because you quit - or went backwards!
• There is no judgment from them, hopefully.  Romans 14:10-13
• You were overtaken in a fault - Galatians 6:1

• accepting God's grace with you and other people
• making peace with constant turmoil around you because of your decisions to follow paul, etc. and live that godly life.
• make amends with people that you think you 'hurt'
• are being liked again
• making more friends
• being approved, etc.

• 1)  You proved they were right in what they thought!
• you couldn't do it
• they knew it all along!
• They were just waiting for you to crumble
• one crumb at a time - they could see it coming!
• They don't think Paul is practical today
• and you just proved them right!
• They believe that Paul is not the true and only gospel today
• and neither do you now, either.
• nobody can really know the truth
• you proved to them that truth is only relative to the one who believes it...
• the world really is just too fun, isn't it!
• being a Christian isn't 'fun' - and just proved their thinking again to them
• rightly dividing is baloney
• KJB isn't really the word of God that you have said it is.
• You won't have to read your KJB anymore - oh, you must not have been reading anyway otherwise you wouldn't be making the decisions you are now making!!!
• You are taking away the only and last opportunity for those folks to hear and see the truth and all the comes with is worth it!  I Timothy 4:16
• Your grandkids, your relatives, parents, friends, etc. will never hear this stuff in their church, etc. and now their last opportunity to hear and see - is GONE!

• 2)  You proved that you are still immature!
• Ephesians 4:14
• I Corinthians 13:11
• You think you are your own authority again - wrong!
• You will now allow the world and the people in to tell you how to live your manner of life! - and you will follow them now!
• You will not be your own now!
• You belong to the god of this world again!
• When you followed the Risen Saviour, He allowed you to be your own boss - He gave you grace to grow and learn.
• Yes, the KJB rightly divided through Paul was our final authority, but He never made you do anything!

• 3)  You are mad at God
• I Thessalonians 4:8

• 4)  You never were sincere

• Philippians 1:10
• i.e..  Your modesty was only because you thought you were fat - now that you have lost weight, you like showing off your body, etc.
• i.e..  You love your kids but you finally put them back into public school because you just didn't have to do it correctly!
• i.e..  You can throw out all that stuff in Timothy and Titus now.  You never did like those things, anyway!
• i.e..  Ma'am, now you can go out and enjoy your freedom; you can make that money; you can get that job and career, etc.  you just don't realize that the KJB says you are turning aside unto Satan - or do you still know that...?

• If your decision is about needing money and you will go against the Scriptures to get it, your new life and freedoms will only get worse.
• I Timothy 6:9,10
• fall into temptation and a snare
• fall into many foolish and hurtful lusts,
• will drown in destruction and perdition.
• err from the faith
• pierced yourself through with many sorrows.
