Panning for Gold with Prospector Paulson

For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him?
But we have the mind of Christ.
I Corinthians 2:16
Where is the Mind of Christ Today?
There is only one of two ways that answer could be given:

1)  Christ is in us so we have Him thinking for us and He speaks to us through our heart and feelings thus having Christ 'in us,' if we are spiritual enough by our own goodness, etc. then we will transfer our thinking to His thinking.  We would then have no need for any Bible - all of them would be a help as Christ would guide us through our own studies af various versions - hopefully learning more and more about the originals through our knowledge of Greek or from pastors who understand it all.

or
2)  A King James Bible is the mind of Christ!  The more read and understand the KJB through rightly dividing, then the understandings is simple, thus we learn how to think as Christ would think.  The Spirit of God would guide us through the 'living' Scriptures.  As we learn what it is our mind is to do, etc. we would learn that through our own reading, studying and meditating on a KJB.

Let's take a closer look at the 'mind of Christ.

Today's modern 'think they are Christian Christians' think they are thinking directly from the mind of Christ because they are told they have Christ in them.
They will be quick to defend themselves by saying, "But the Scriptures say we have the mind of Christ..."  I would respond with, "I know; I know what the Scriptures say.  But you don't believe you have the scriptures anyway so why do you suddenly want to believe a specific verse?"

If you read the 'answer' to the question/comment on the website about "How do we know the Bible is true?" we will see that people today do NOT believe any so-called Bible is true - none of them - especially the KJB because they have about 300+ versions out in the market place (otherwise known as the den of thieves). Because of such confusion in the pulpits and from the many versions of 'the bible, they truly believe they are to be 'led' in their heart, spirit and mind by the Spirit of God!  However, we know in truer words, they are being led by their "flesh and their fine feelings of themselves."

Can you see then, that when they read I Corinthians 2:6-16, they would believe they have that spiritual understanding 'from within.'  I can see why they would go the 'inner route' of the Holy Spirit within us, etc. according to those verses, and yet totally ignore and reject any written Scripture.

The KJB says it the best, of course - and quite possibly you, the reader, even ask yourself, "How can I get that spiritual understanding in those verses if it isn't from 'within? Well - keep on within this 'sermon study' and you will how I Corinthians 2:6-16 fits into your life.
Anyway, in other words, today's self-labeled christian thinks that because they "have Christ in them," their own personal thinking must be what Christ is thinking...  After all, to them, all of what they are doing is NOT being stopped by Christ in them, so they have no guilt feelings for what they are doing/seeing, etc.   Their obvious conclusion would be that it must be OK - otherwise, Christ would tell them otherwise.
Obviously, they have no final authority other than themselves - unless they believe their pastor, etc. (who doesn't believe in 'The Scriptures" either) to be their final authority.  That is called Pastoral Authority in the Bible protestant churches and in the Catholic world, it is Papal Authority, etc.  Same thing = just different wording.

For those interested and do not know yet, Romans 2:5 explains why it 'seems' like God is allowing saved and lost, to do what they 'feel' is right. Simply put, Paul teaches us that God's grace is being made available for the 'lost' as well as the 'Christian," thus the dispensation of grace.  For the Christian, their works have yet to have been judged (the purpose of the judgment seat of Christ); however, the judgment of the lost / nonbeliever, etc. will be for their soul which is still attached to their sins/works, etc.

Anyway - that subject could be continued in a different sermon...
let's get back to The Mind of Christ Today!
Since Christ is in me and since I have the mind of Christ...
...then my 'spiritual thinking' must be me 'thinking like Christ?'
Colossians 1:27 -To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of
this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

After doing the word study of the word 'mind,' I noticed that we can put the 'mind' verses into a few specific categories:
I.  Commands to each Christian that we should be using our minds 'together.'
II.  Comments about the minds of the lost people & deceived people (which would include those who think they are saved, but are not!)
III.  Verses on 'how' we as Christians should deal with own own minds.
IV.  The battles that sincere Christians will have with their own mind.
V.  Comments on 'having' the mind of Christ.

Bonus subject for a separate sermon / personal study:  "The mind of the people during the tribulation."
Bonus subject for a separate sermon / personal study:  "How Satan is deceiving and searing minds of lost & saved."

After we read and meditate and consider the following verses on the 'mind,'
we can see and understand what it means to 'have the mind of Christ.'

Let's see what the Scriptures say about the mind,
from the KJB; rightly divided, of course!

I.  Commands to each Christian that we should all be using our minds 'together.'

II.  Comments about the minds of the lost and/or deceived people (which would include those who think they are saved, but are not!) III.  Verses on 'how' we as sincere Christians should deal with our own minds. IV.  The battles that sincere Christians will have with our own mind over truth & flesh. V.  Comments on 'having' the Mind of Christ.
And then this sermon text verse:
Philippians 2:5 - Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

SUMMARY
With no colors, underlining, bold facing and 'extra' words, etc.... here is a summary about the 'mind'!
I.  Commands to each Christian that we should be using our minds 'together.'
  • be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things,
  • with one mind and one mouth glorify God
  • be perfectly joined together in the same mind
  • ye be likeminded
  • be of one accord
  • be of one mind.
  • be of the same mind in the Lord.
  • with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
II.  Comments about the minds of the lost and/or deceived people (those who think they are saved, but are not!)
  • their minds are blinded
  • reprobate mind
  • their carnal mind is enmity against God:
  • the unbelieving made their minds evil affected against the brethren.
  • alienated and enemies in their mind
  • their mind and conscience is defiled.
  • men of corrupt minds,
III.  Verses on 'how' we as sincere Christians should deal with our own minds.
  • God gave us a sound mind.
  • Be in lowliness of mind
  • With humbleness of mind, be not soon shaken in mind,
  • Your mind can have forwardness of...
  • Readiness of mind
  • Humility of mind,
  • We can renew our mind,
  • We can be renewed in the spirit of our mind;
  • Have a fervent mind toward Paul - his writings, etc. showing us how to follow the risen Christ;
  • First, a willing mind,
IV.  The battles that sincere Christians will have with own own mind over truth & flesh.
  • Warring against the law of my mind,
  • So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

A King James Bible?  Really?  Really!
Here is how it works:

Your 'bible' must be the sword of the Spirit; it must be the gospel of your salvation; it must be the sword that does the 'cutting' that is mentioned in Colossians 2:11,12  In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

Once that 'spiritual operation has been done, then and only then can Christ 'be in you' - and now can be led by the Spirit, not by the flesh.  (although we sure do tend to let our flesh get those victories, eh! - remember the battle is the battle of the mind vs the flesh).
Romans 8:4-14: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Of course I Corinthians 2:9-16 will make sense now - HOWEVER - in case you haven't noticed, we don't automatically think like Christ now.  Christians have always had the King James Bible to be their source of knowledge, wisdom, understanding, guidance, etc. because the Spirit of God leads us through His words.
Even John was aware of that:  John 14:26 - But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

So the basic question - is your Bible the word of God - the words of God - the gospel of your salvation - the sword of the Spirit?

And of course, there is a P.S. : Rightly dividing is a must.  II Timothy 2:16 - Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

And of course, in case you haven't noticed,
the King James 1611 Bible is the only Bible that teaches this!

There are many more verses one can seek and find within the KJB that makes this even more 'solid' in your belief and understanding about the mind of Christ.

Summary & Conclusion!
Simply put - the mind of Christ today is your King James Bible -
and if you want to think like Christ does,
make sure you read it, and rightly divide it, and study it...
then apply it!

One more thing: this has been true ever since I Corinthians 13:8-10, it is all in the KJB!  Before we had the KJB, Christianity was of a different form:  Only until after I Corinthians 13:8-10 did the following fail.  Beforehand, they had their part in guiding the Christian.  Those things were prophecies, tongues, and knowledge.  Those prophecies, tongues and knowledge were given to the believer through the Holy Spirit, of course.

Today - and since 1611, we have had and still have
the King James 1611 Bible!

So, I Corinthians 2:9-16 makes complete sense IF you get that spirituality from your bible study / reading, etc.  Get those scriptures into your heart through memory and remembrance, etc. and you just may find yourself dealing with life's issues thinking like Christ would.  But like Paul, your mind will wrestle with your flesh.  And then finally, remember the devil hates that KJB when it is rightly divided, so you will see him working on people's flesh today and trying to get them to quit 'thinking' as he has destroyed the 'word of God' in people's minds!

There are so many sermons and studies dealing with this important truth of Christianity, this is only meant to make you thirsty to seek more from the mind of Christ.
