A Touch of the Devil
For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith,
lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.
1 Thessalonians 3:5

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times
some shall depart from the faith,
giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
I Timothy 4:1

I have been wondering lately...  Do us rightly dividing KJB 1611 people ever seriously consider the 'rest of the story' when it comes to rightly dividing the word of truth?

I know we all know about that most important verse we always like to quote people, II Timothy 2:16.  But let's look at the rest of the story of rightly dividing...  II Timothy 2:17,18  But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;   Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

I sense from a lot of us that we are losing some of our hope and faith.  We might have some that are allowing their faith to be overthrown.  There are some who are thinking more and more that there is no rapture, or maybe that it has already come and gone and is past already.  What are folks reading other than their KJB?  What are they watching on YouTube, TVtube, Internet Tube, NeighborTube, FamilyTube, etc.

I hear, "Look at things in the news.  Unbelievable as well as "things I never thought I would have to go through."

Have you ever done much history studies in your life?  Probably not, unless you are older banger like some of us.  Schools do NOT teach history worth a plug nickel let alone any truth in history - they never have and never will. In fact, in most schools I have been involved in, the history I try to throw in as I teach music history is a knowledge the kids have never heard of.  Think about it.  What little we know (unless you are a YouTuber 'true and real' history buff), the kids today do NOT know or have ever even heard of.  And recent history, too; unless their parents teach them, the kids don't even know what is going on at this moment around the world.  In fact, many of them couldn't even find the countries that are in the news on the map.

Anyway, hard times today? The weather disasters, the hardships, personal tragedies, family tragedies, country tragedies and world tragedies, the depressions, health and wealth issues, the government lies, the government power grabbing and losses of those supposedly 'God given rights and freedoms' have been going on for more years than any of us are alive.  Thousands upon thousands - millions upon millions have been killed, tortured or just died too young over the years.  We certainly have not seen anything like this country has seen even just in the last two hundred years.  And now, all we hear about today is 'global this and global that, the New America, tolerance, changing America's culture, perverted lifestyles are normal and acceptable to more and more people, etc.

Those of us who have some of that spiritual understanding and knowledge of the rightly divided scriptures, should know better than most people in our little neighborhoods AND churches what is going on and where this is all headed.

Yet, I am sensing more and more, a losing of the hope of the rapture thinking we will have to go through the tribulation; a sense of losing our own faith; falling apart; giving up; questioning more and more; reading their KJB less and less; going back to the local church they left and should have left; going back to their old friends they should have left and going back to their old ways of life, which they should have left, etc.

There is a so-so good article title: "A Massive, Silent Cultural Revolution has Changed America."  For many of us, this is a good description of what has happened within our own lifetime.  Some of you are too young to recognize these changes, you just think that your parents were fuddy duddies, etc.

For now, anyway, that article can be located at http://nypost.com/2015/06/06/how-a-massive-silent-cultural-revolution-has-changed-america/.

As all good articles go today, this one does ask a good question - they know that something has happened and they can describe it perfectly well.  But the true answer to their question is one that ONLY a Bible Believing, KJB 1611, Rightly Dividing Christian can answer.  However, we all know they won't hear our answer let alone even consider it.

I recently watched a documentary about the Sixties... - (those are my rebellious youth years) -  Now I can see how over the years, we were deceived; evil communications were truly in the process of corrupting a somewhat moral life in America. (Quick, what verse is that: .......I Corinthians 15:33) You know what I mean, those good-works and good morals that came from the Judeo-Christian lifestyle.  The media certainly has been the power that has corrupted our country over the years.  And the same corruption has taken place within the churches today!  Evil communications have destroyed the true local church with its proper design and objectives, etc. (Paul in Ephesians 4, not the apostles doctrine from Acts 2)

So yes, times and things are hard these days - and no one knows better than many of us, that things are going to keep getting harder and harder - persecution will be tougher and tougher, temptation will be more and more tempting as/if we at least continue to try to follow Paul's manner of life.

Don't let the battles get you down, lose your faith or give up hope, etc.

What battle, you ask?

This battle: Romans 7:19-22
For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
(That verse can not be stated more clearly - that is EXACTLY our daily battle.)
Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
(so why do people fear losing their salvation, think God will punish / chastise me today, etc.?)
I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
(but we are cut away from that flesh - from that evil.
Thus we see the need for that 'spiritual circumcision' - the operation made without hands
with the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God, the King James Bible, the gospel of my salvation, etc.
- not just some inner guidance and feeling!)

Keep reading; don't stop now!

verses 22-15
For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:  (do we still delight in what we read and have learned)
But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, (do we see that attack on our mind?  With what do we feed our mind?
and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
(we are so glad for God's righteousness, but do we remember we are still called unto good works and
we are still to try and do the right thing, in spite of that persecution?)
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? (ah yes, for man of us, this is our daily prayer)
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
(Do we understand that the battle is with our mind and flesh? - If so, then what do we feed more today, our mind or our flesh?)

Nobody explains our daily battle as well as Paul does!!

Let's not give up on our hope.
Let's not give up our faith.

So lets' see if some verses can help renew some of us who might be
losing ground with that battle that Paul experienced?

P.S.  Yes, we know we can not lose the faith of Christ - and we can learn about 'the faith,' as we have from this website.  But let's remind ourselves, we also have 'our faith' to maintain, to grow in and to get strength from, as well.

Let's look at some scriptures here and see if can derive any comfort, guidance, renewing, etc. from these verses!
This is called a word study - as you study the following verses, instead of my sermonating, let the Spirit of God speak to you.
(The underlines will be mine - just to show where and how the word 'faith' fits in the verse)
(I tried to leave out the verses about 'the faith' and 'faith OF Jesus, etc.)
(just looking for verses to speak to us about 'our' faith)
Remember, this is how we have the mind of Christ and how the mind of Christ works in us.

Romans 5:2: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

II Corinthians 10:15: Not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men's labours; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly,

Galatians 5:5: For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

I Thessalonians 1:3: Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

I Thessalonians 5:8: But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
(You thought the breastplate was a breastplate of righteousness?  Well, yes it still is in Ephesians 6:14.  So now maybe you see better how faith and righteousness work fit together.  We really can't give up.  His faith and our own faith are needed elements of faith in our lives.  In some ways, we can't give up but in other ways, we can allow ourselves to be bewitched thus trying to be that holy Christian again in our flesh so much that we lose our joy and thankfulness, etc.  Galatians 3:1-3)

I am leaving out some verses that would be our faith and the faith of Jesus Christ together.  That is another sermon... of course our faith rests on his faith, and still many of the verses listed below not only are referring to our own faith, it is referring to the faith OF Jesus Christ, also.  Galatians 2:16 - Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.  Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

And to remind us why ALL the KJB is FOR but not all is TO us, we see that we can still learn from Hebrews 11:1 what the definition of faith is.  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Romans 1:8 - First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

Romans 1:12 - That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

Romans 1:17 - For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
With this verse, also see Romans 3:28 and 9:30 along with Galatians 3:11

Romans 3:27 - Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Romans 3:28 - Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Romans 4:5 - But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Romans 5:1 - Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Romans 5:2 - By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Romans 9:30 - What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.

Romans 9:32 - Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;
Don't today's deceived 'christian being taught 'Jewish gospel doctrine' stumble over all this KJB and RD & Paul's teachings!!!)

Romans 10:8 - But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

Romans 10:17 - So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Romans 16:26 - But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
(not obedience to baptism)

I Corinthians 2:5: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Galatians 3:2: This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Galatians 3:11: But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

Galatians 3:26: For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 5:5: For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

Ephesians 6:16: Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Colossians 1:4: Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,

Colossians 2:5: For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.

I Thessalonians 1:3: Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

I Thessalonians 1:8: For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.

I Thessalonians 3:2: And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:  I have always liked this verse because it just reminds us that we are to be comforted by the books of Timothy, and yet,  most Christians do not like I & II Timothy.

I Thessalonians 3:5: For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.

I Thessalonians 3:7: Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:

I Thessalonians 3:10: Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?
Stay in that KJB and your faith will continue to grow.

I Thessalonians 5:8: But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

II Thessalonians 1:3: We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;

II Thessalonians 1:4: So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:

I Timothy 1:19  - Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

I Timothy 4:1: Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

I Timothy 4:6: If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

I Timothy 5:12: Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.

I Timothy 6:10: For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

I Timothy 6:11: But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

I Timothy 6:12 - Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

II Timothy 2:18: Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

II Timothy 2:22: Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

II Timothy 3:10: But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
Do you fully know Paul's doctrine - i.e. faith?
