These mini-sermonable comments are from little sticky notes I have had plastered all around my desk
from the past few months with me thinking they either would make a good sermon or maybe just a well deserved comment.

'Tree of Life' Becoming Popular
I recently caught a glimpse of 'the tree of life' in the newest Cinderella movie.  With just a few minutes of 'googling,' I saw the tree of life mentioned in a lot of movies, books, etc.  Interesting to see that term is being used more and more today, as I believe we are drawing closer to the 'end' for some and the 'beginning' for us.  It seems they even try use 'modern scriptures' in their reference to the tree of life.

However, I have found no reference from them to the mentioning of Genesis 3:22: And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:  Satan sure knows how to use scriptural terms to make man think they can still have that tree, even today.

Latter Times of Life
    As we age, we enter into the 'latter times' of our life.  More than ever, we must make an extra effort to not fall into the devilish trap of seducing spirits and doctrines of devils.  II Timothy 4:1,2 - Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

Add to that that we also see in Daniel that Satan wears out the saints.  Daniel 7:25 - And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Us 'older' folks tend to wear out, thus making it easier and easier for us to give in to those seducing spirits and doctrines of devils.  Be careful!  Stand!  Let's not give up just because we get older and tire easily - and give up too easily, too.

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free,
and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage
Galatians 5:1

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth,
and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
Ephesians 6:14

If anything, we ought to be encouraged by what us older folks see and recognize these days.  We heard 'strange' things spoken many years ago that we are now beginning to see come to fruition.  We also are now seeing how those things not only can be accomplished but we know more now how more things are going to be accomplished.  The younger folks tend to think we are just yapping aimlessly - but alas my young friends, the older people have a lot more for you than you know.  I know - because I was young once and I remember how I thought of older folks and of all that they said back in those days.

Hearken unto thy father that begat thee,
and despise not thy mother when she is old.
Proverbs 23:22

After the Time of Reformation
I have also recently read some material on this subject - and as always, one can see the holes in their mixed up usage of Scriptures.  Even if they say they follow Paul, they really only mean to a certain level - not 'all' Paul.   They will eventually say that 'some' of what Jesus taught to the Jews were only Jewish in nature and do not apply directly to Gentiles, etc.  Do you see the word 'some?'  Again, we see preachers and teachers trying to mix the gospels with Paul.  That is not rightly dividing - that is wrongly mixing!
In those writings, we see words like 'covenant,' 'new covenant,' 'time of reformation,' etc.  We see the usual reasons for baptizing as well as taking communion along with the mentioning of ordinances, etc.   We see the phrase 'first day of the week' come back into being an issue for worship when Col 1:16 takes care of all that sabbath stuff..

Their teaching on divorce isn't even close to what Paul preaches, yet they mention Paul's name and so folks tend to think they are following Paul.

In other words, after all their detailed and confusing arguments are completed, they basically are saying the destruction of the temple, etc. has already taken place, thus making today the time of the tribulation.  So, they say, we should be waiting for the coming of Christ.  The antichrist is already down here.
The frustrating thing?  They get their followers who don't understand what the teachers/preachers are talking about but are impressed enough with their 'teachings' that they just put on their blinders and follow their pastors like the rats in the Pied Piper of Hamlin.

We are NOT in the Laodicean Church Age
I have heard enough over the years to give me a few doubts about the seven churches in Revelation having anything to do with church history.  However, if we were to still look to the seven churches to be a historical time line of today, then to say that we are in the age of Laodicea is still wrong.  I used to believe we were in Laodicea - I had heard it so many times... you know, the lukewarm church, etc.

So if want to believe that these churches are historical as well as prophetic, then I would say we are still in the Philadelphian church age.

Howso, you ask?
Sure, we get some hard negative responses - but when we have those rare opportunities to sit down and show someone the Scriptures about the risen Saviour, the opportunity is still there!  Yes, we know those times are rare - and few are interested.  So I say that we are in the tail end of the Philadelphian age - just at the last few hairs on the tail.  But we are not in the Laodicean - and WE won't be - ever.

Life is Even a Vapour
Yes, as one realizes he is getting into his 'older years,' he finds himself saying. "Where did the time go?"  As we finally begin to plan our 'bucket list,' we realize just how short time is.  Young folks think their old days are far away.  Well, young folks - they go by quickly.  What comes after your vaporous life here on earth is what will last forever - eternity it is called.  What judgment will you be receiving?  Judgment Seat of Christ or the White Throne?

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Hebrews 9:27

Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow.
For what is your life?

It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
James 4:14
Now there are some 'non-Paul' verses we still need to be aware of, eh?

The Affairs of This World and Enduring Hardness Go Together
With all the craziness, insane decisions being made by our government, whether it be federal, state, local - even in our work places - and in education, they appear to just flat going nuts with their thinkings.  Boycotts, getting involved in politics, etc. has not helped one iota, have you noticed?

So maybe now folks will realize exactly what II Timothy 2:4 actually means.  It means exactly what it says!

No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life;
that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

What we really need to notice is the preceding verse!  3: Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.  What we are looking at here is another 'reason' why we need not trouble ourselves with what is going on around us.  It isn't pretty, no doubt - but it is going to all happen just like the Scriptures say, regardless of our involvement or not.
So we can still be troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed...  maybe if remember this, we won't let ourselves become so down and out when we read the news everyday. It IS going to be making life 'harder' and 'harder.'   But we know the Lord Himself will fix it all someday - and that day is just getting that much closer.

Local Church Assembly
When one's eyes are opened with the rightly divided Scriptures, we see deceptions galore in the local church.  In the sermons - in the music - in the lack of standards - in the so-called 'worship' - in the rejection of the Scriptures being the KJB.
So why do folks still insist on going to find a church.  If there is a church that seems to be rightly dividing, etc. then check on the music.  If the music seems ok - which would be miraculously rare, then check out how the people are dressed and how they behave.  Check out the men and women - see if they understand their roles.  And then take note if they have a 'worship team' or some form of advertised worship - you will find that you just wasted another hour or so.
How much time do you spend on YouTube looking for that guy that teaches you 'the stuff' but ignores the manner of life from Paul?  If one exists, then he won't have the money to be famous and easy to find.  He won't have that large congregation that you want.  Fellowship won't be high on his list.  If you find one that teaches Paul like he should, then follow what Paul says: And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves. I Thessalonians 5:12,13.  He needs your support - financially, along with encouragement and friendship.  Although remember - pastors who preach the truth won't have many friends!  They can't!  That would stop them from preaching all that needs to be preached!   I have had too many people say to me, "Go ahead - preach it all.  I can take it!"  Well, I did - and they are gone!

Have You / Can You...?
My Study Charts -
Be sure to check them out.  While they can be printed directly from the site, it might be easier to order from me instead - I can send you one color copy of each one you want and then you take them and have them printed in quantity yourself.

My PowerPoint Presentations
Have you sat through a presentation?  There is no audio but they are certainly self-explanatory!  Try them!  They can so easily be used to teach others.  And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. II Timothy 2:2

Have You Been Through the Entire Series of "Understanding the King James Bible"?
Those sermons and studies take you through everything you can learn for yourself - or to teach someone else.  These would make great group bible study information.

Baptism and Lord's Supper
Can you list the 'reasons' why we don't need to deal with water baptism and the Lord's Supper - Communion, etc. today?  Or do you still partake of them so as not to cause waves amongst your family and church friends?

William Carey
Are you able to explain to folks from where the modern teaching of the Great Commission came?  Does William Carey mean anything in this 'discussion'? Hint: His book that started the Great Commission movement 'back in the states.'

Defined words:
Do you remember hearing the biblical definitions of the following words in the recent sermons of this past year or so?  Just to name a few: charity, ordinance, feign, jest, vain, covetousness, clamor, malice, edify, uncleanness, incontinent, filthiness, circumspectly, whoredom, idolatry, reprove, lewdness, meek, lowly, peevish, querulous, fear.

All Things are Lawful - Liberty
Do you know the two verses that say all things are lawful?
Do you know of the strings attached to that liberty?

Living KJB
Do you know the verse that tells us that the KJB will effectually worketh also in you that believe.  That could have a lot to do with why so many folks think God isn't speaking to them - they are not seeking His voice.  So, when folks falsely pull out II Chronicles 7:14 and say that folks should seek God's face, etc., all they would have to do would be to open King James 1611 Bible today and rightly divide it and they would have the eyes, ears and mouth of God and they would know what God is saying TO them.

Alcohol
People will go to any extreme to justify drinking alcohol.  I have heard it called an 'artistic' drink... and rational drink... it's healthy, etc..  Some even go back in history and claim that Thomas Jefferson wanted to claim a national drink.  Of course, all things are lawful - but which 'string' or 'strings' does drinking alcohol cut?

There is None that Doeth Good, No, Not One
I have noticed over the years that people who become born-again, etc. suddenly think that if they follow Jesus' footsteps, they must be doing good enough to be blessed by God directly.  Hmmm - wait a minute, I used to believe that baloney myself.  We see now that it is Christ's righteousness that is imputed to us and that our present works will be judged at our judgment seat of Christ.  You mean we have bad works?  duh!
We also should know that God neither blesses or curses any of the works being done today, whether it be Christian or not.  This is the dispensation of grace and his grace is being applied to all - for now, anyway.  Reading Romans 6 in 'two parts' (1-14 and 15-23) will help folks see the truth about their walk as a Christian.  Or simply do a word study on the word 'walk.'
Throw in Romans 7:15-25 if you really think you are that goody Christian.  And, if you wonder where that 'feeling' and 'belief' comes from, then read Romans 11:25 to see how you have become wise in your own conceits.  It is all based on following Paul and knowing the differences in the Jewish doctrines being taught by John and Peter, etc. versus Paul's doctrines to the Gentiles.  Ignore and reject Paul's teachings and you will fit the 'conceited' category of imitation christians.  No wonder the lost 'hate' the modern christian today and want nothing to do with today's christianity.
By the way, where do people get the idea that they can walk in Jesus' footsteps, anyway?  They hear it from those preachers that won't preach Paul's gospel.  It is found in I Peter 2:21 - For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
And remember, the modern bibles say we should imitate Jesus, God, Paul, etc.  IMITATE?  Yes, imitate!  Imitating Jesus, God and Paul makes those people into imitation christians going to imitation churches being taught an imitation sermon giving them an imitating spirit, etc.  You can read more about that in Isaiah 14:12-17 as that shows us who the 'great imitator' really is.

Despise and Destroy
This seems so hard for some of our 'Paul Following Christians,' but according to Acts 19:23-29, we should despise personally and destroy their ministerial magnificence when it comes to preachers and teachers who...

I could think of more 'red flags' from those preachers on the internet and in certain 'ministries' that have a national name to the group - or groups in various cities, but this will do for now.

Movie Stars and the Rich and Famous - Despise and Destroy
Just because someone is famous and 'funny,' we should also despise them personally and destroy their movie magnificence if they hate Israel, hate Bible and Christians, hate God, etc.  There are plenty of those around these days.
They don't deserve a penny from us!  For people who preach a tolerance, they sure don't have any tolerance for the Bible / God, etc.
Today's modern christians also deserve to be despised and their modern religious magnificence should be destroyed.
Do those statements make me a terrorist?  Do I preach a 'hate' message when I say things like that?
There is a verse that clarifies when and how all that should take place towards a 'christian' - do you know what verse that is?

Just Reading the News
I tell ya, just spending a few minutes glancing at the latest in the news - local, country or world, is enough to really stoke a person.  There is certainly 'reprobateness' going on these days.  The idiocy and the insanity of it all.
Just remember that it is really none of our business - we just have to endure the hardship until Romans 11:22 finally comes into play!  And also remember that enduring hardness doesn't mean that we are in the tribulation.  That is well beyond 'hardness.'  Paul tells we will be delivered from the wrath to come.  See the words "to come"?  That means tribulation as well as hell.  Wouldn't you think?  Do a word study on 'wrath' and you will see that you folks that have given up on the 'rapture' and think we will go through the tribulation will change your mind.  I Thessalonians 1:10 - And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.  II Timothy 2:3,4 - Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

The Many Variations of Grace Ministries
Over the last few years, I have learned more and more about the 'grace ministries.'  From what I know about them, they make the claim that they are following Paul and teaching his doctrines, etc.  I would be happy to announce that they are worth being involved in but alas, I can not.
Of course the devil must go after the KJB guys - he did that by confusing their rightly dividing so now the KJB isn't even a threat.  A wrongly divided KJB is nothing more than a modern bible full of confusion and contradiction to the readers.  No wonder they don't like reading a KJB - it makes no sense to them.
And of course, of course, the devil must also go after the Paul guys because THEY are the ones that are closest to the truth - some may even have the truth and speak some of it properly.  So reminding ourselves of that, just where could the devil twist the doctrine of Paul from the Paul preaching ministries?
I have that 'sermon study' at a different site.  Click here for more on that subject: Devil Messes with Paul Preachers

Can a Christian Be Possessed by the Devil?
This is another 'popular' subject of which I have been asked to comment.  A book was sent to me called, "They Shall Expel Demons." I will send you to a separate site that will have my response to that question.  A complete understanding of what Paul preaches about or body, soul and spirit can simply answer this question. click here: Devil Possession
