Break #45
WRITTEN STUDY NOTES
(No audio - these written notes are to aid you in your own study time)

Now that we have presented the basic knowledge of 'our flesh,' let's move on to some understanding of 'our flesh'

The wisdom from this series will be whatever you get yourself to do after we have completed this mini-series.

I believe some folks could respond to this series in the following manner:

  • They could realize they have been fighting the wrong battles!
  • They could realize they have been overly judgmental of others and their 'christian' walk!
  • The could realize they have been too hard on themselves concerning their 'own walk' as a Christian!
  • They could realize they have been following the wrong gospel!
  • They could realize they can finally can find that peace that they have been seeking but never attaining!
  • They could realize they finally can start 'storing up' some of the proper gold, silver and precious stones by finally understanding the importance of following Paul only, not those other twelve who only give you wood, hay and stubble today..
  • They could realize they finally can see the importance of the word "ONLY" when it comes to a King James Bible and the dangers of all the modern Bibles.
  • They could realize that instead of having that popular yet false 'personal relationship' with God, they will find themselves having a relationship with either themselves or with the devil by being deceived by the great imitator!
  • They could actually realize that they can actually have that honest and true 'relationship with God' through a King James Bible and by following Paul!

We will do some serious looking into the book of Galatians for this.  Galatians is Paul talking to folks who think the 'law' is still most important - they are often the circumcised bunch to whom he is talking..  I look to the modern gospel Christian today as the 'gospel-law' bunch of the Bible days.  After all, the Gospels are the books that are written TO the Jews then, NOT to the Gentiles today.  Those same Gospels will come into play again during the Tribulation, along with Hebrews, James, I II Peter, III John, Jude.  But today?  It is Paul's books.
( I say that often, don't I?  Want me to say it again? - It NEEDS TO BE SAID in every church, but it isn't!  Some pastors and teachers, etc. may say the word Paul and they may turn to those books once in blue moon, but very seldom - and NEVER as to the ONLY books they should follow, etc. etc. and more etc.).  I Corinthians 4:17 -For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.

Take note:  As we are learning about 'our flesh', we must know that we are a new creature - but NOT a new creation, as all the modern bibles say.
  • II Corinthians 5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
  • Galatians 6:15: For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
Contrary to those modern christians who think that now that we are a new 'creation,' we should now have the total desire, ability and power to live that new sinningless life, they don't realize that we still have that battle that Paul talks about in Romans 7:25 - I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

And yes of course, we SHOULD now do a lot better in our Christian walk now - but to walk that perfectly holy walk?  or to think we have to confess our sins in order to stay clean in God's eyes - so we can receive those physical blessings, etc.?  (See Romans 6 for a complete study... but be careful, most pastors and teachers misteach Romans chapter 6.)

To those who honestly think they are so spiritual that their walk is super clean (minus a few confessions at night), remember to double check your standard to make that claim::

  • I Corinthians 14:37: If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
  • Romans 11:25 - For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
And if you think you should be following the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew, then you are thinking incorrectly.  In fact, do you realize that there are some verses in that teaching that can not even be done today, let along the simple observation that Paul never does re-iterate all of that sermon?
(if you question that previous statement, then consider the following verses and ask yourself, '"Am I doing these?  Do I need to do these in my Christian walk?  Am I going to be held accountable for these verses at my judgment seat of Christ as part of my christian walk?  Why doesn't Paul talk about these?")
Matthew 5:1,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,18,19,20, 22,25,29,30,33,34,37,39,40,44,45,48.
Matthew 6:1,7,9,14,15,17,18,25
Matthew 7:1,5,6,13,15
Now, if you want to add some frosting to your study of the Sermon on the Mount, read how the modern bibles say those verses.  Ah yes, now you can see why so many Christians do what they do these days - and how they are so wrong in their daily actions - and doubts - and fears, etc.  The Sermon on the Mount is NOT written to US today as Gentiles.

Mars Hill or Sermon on the Mount?

Today, we should follow Paul's sermon he preached in the midst of Mars hill
Acts 17:22-31 which was given to the Gentiles,
not Jesus' Sermon He preached when He went into the mountain
as given to His disciples, the Jews in Matthew 5,6,7.

Folks - go to Paul.  You believe that Christ dies and rose again, correct?  So then why not simply go to what the RISEN Saviour has to teach to us today?

It is too simple and yet, so few grasp that truth today.  Have you?

Now, on to another 'break' about 'our flesh - #46.
