Are You Still
Looking Forward
to the Tribulation?
|
Part II
Part
I tells you all the 'marvelous' opportunities you will have!
Part II contains warnings about
these coming times
(It won't be as 'opportunistic'
as you may hope it will be, though!)
(based on Hebrews
to
Jude - Revelation - Matthew)
Reminder Note:
-
In order for these notes to make sense, you will have to have a pretty
decent understanding of what it is that Paul preaches.
-
Paul is the 'only' apostle to the Gentiles and then to the Church of God;
we are not to follow the apostles doctrine - we are to follow Paul's.
-
Understanding
Galatians 1:6, we see
that the following teachings differ from Paul's, thus these are NOT teachings
that are to be taught in every church today, as Paul states in I
Corinthians 4:17.
If we can even just begin to say that we are trying
to fully know Paul's doctrine, manner
of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,.. (II
Timothy 3:10). then we can quickly come
to an understanding that the following teachings are to be taught only
during the Tribulation, not today.
However, if you are a normal church-goer these
days, you will recognize these teachings as being 'falsely' taught and
deceptively applied today in almost every church. Thus we see a 'form
of godliness denying the power thereof;'
as well as the folly of a false Christianity today.
We should have a Christianity that should truly
be full of joy and spiritual blessings that exposes the false teachings
of tomorrow's Tribulation being taught today.
1. You think we are having
sorrows now?
-
Yes, I am one of the best whiners and worriers at
times. As I get older and realize what religions has taken from me,
the pain of my 'missing family,' the debt I chose to incur thinking God
will bless my 'good works' and 'teaching and sacrifice to be a pastor...
But my pains and miseries are NOTHING compared to what is coming for the
folks who reject the Risen Saviour.
-
And then there is Romans
8:18: For
I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be
compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Unfortunately,
most of my suffering is based on my stupidity, not my spiritual challenges
I think I have 'endured.'
-
Note these 'real' sufferings yet to come to this
world!
-
Matthew 24:6-8 - And
ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled:
for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and
there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
All these are the beginning of sorrows.
-
Mark 13:8 - For
nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there
shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles:
these are the beginnings of sorrows.
-
The Book of Revelation
-
Not for us to worry about today!
-
Revelation 3:10 - Because
thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the
hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that
dwell upon the earth.
-
I Thessalonians 5:9 -
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our
Lord Jesus Christ,
-
Although, 'we do know what is coming' and so wish
we could help others see the Risen Saviour through Paul!
-
II Corinthians 5:11 -
Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made
manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
But you will certainly notice that these teachings
are being taught today from America's pulpits!
2. You will actually HAVE
to put up with the brethren - even love them - no matter what!
-
I John 2:9-11 - He
that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness
even until now. He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and
there
is none occasion of stumbling in him. But he that hateth his brother
is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not
whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.
-
I John 3:14-17 - We
know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren.
He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. Whosoever hateth
his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath
eternal life abiding in him. Hereby perceive we the love of God, because
he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the
brethren. But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have
need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the
love of God in him?
-
I John 4:11-13 - Beloved,
if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen
God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and
his
love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he
in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
-
I Peter 1:22 - Seeing
ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto
unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with
a pure heart fervently:
-
Paul says to us today to withdraw from the brethren
who aren't walking according to Paul's doctrine, etc.
-
Paul says to stay away from the 'bad' brethren even
more so than the world's 'bad' people!
3.
And it gets even harder - you will HAVE to obey your pastor!
-
In fact, you will even have to make sure he has joy
at his judgment seat!
-
Hebrews 13:17 - Obey
them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch
for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with
joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
-
The pastors will have a lot riding on their personal
/ public 'walk'!
-
Hebrews 13:7 - Remember
them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of
God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
-
I Peter 5:3 - Neither
as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.
-
Some folks may be happy to know this is 'reserved'
until the Tribulation!
-
But note what Paul says about you and your pastor
and teacher today!
-
I Thessalonians 5:12,13 - And
we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are
over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly
in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.
-
That is, IF the pastor is:
-
Timothy 4:6: If
thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good
minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good
doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
-
II Timothy 4:2 -
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke,
exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
