Paul's Alliteration of His Ministry to Gentiles
Part XVIII
My
Joy in...
...My Pursuit of Paul
|
"PURSUIT" - A following with a view
to reach, accomplish or obtain; endeavor to attain to or gain ...
(1828
Websters, of course...)
Note: The key factor in pursuing Paul and obtaining the
real Risen Saviour, and sad to say this is a serious challenge for more
and more people today, is the ability to read. The true pursuit of
Paul and finding the risen Saviour can only be done through reading a King
James Bible. Contrary to most 'theologians' and the religious academia
along with the local religious bookstores, the KJB is NOT archaic and out
of date nor is it hard to read and understand.
There was a day in America when the KJB was listed as 5th grade reading
material. Sad to say, college kids and adults have a hard time reading
the KJB today. However, it is only because our reading skills in
America have fallen to a shameful low, thanks to our 'modernized' education
system over recent years. Shameful - and Sad!
I would say you could listen to someone preach about Paul, etc. but
one must be able to 'check' what was said. There are few trustable
preachers and teachers these days. There are many reasons for that,
of course, and if you are interested, read my mini-sermon tract on Why
Pastors Don't Preach Paul if you want to go down an interesting and
exposing 'bunny trail.'
In order to 'find' the 'right' Christ - the risen one, of course, one must
"pursue" Christ by looking in the books written by Paul. Paul is
the one who lays the foundation of the "risen" Saviour I
Corinthians 3:10 - I have laid the
foundation... - not the Jewish earthly Jesus' teachings
nor the Tribulational Jesus - all of which lead you to the coming of the
anti-christ in Revelation 6, NOT the
coming of the true Saviour. Only Paul will lead you to the risen
Christ as found in Revelation 19.
Paul is the one we are to follow as we build upon that foundation -
for no other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus
Christ. I Corinthians 3:11
(and for those folks who have no
Bible, etc. they need to hear it from a preacher /
missionary that follows Paul with
his KJB!
see Romans
10:14,15 and
I Thessalonians 1:9,10)
We have a choice:
We can choose NOT to do the following ...
-
Avoid...
-
Withdraw from...
-
Not strive with the right folks...
-
Strive with the wrong folks
-
Neither give heed...
-
Purge
-
Reject
-
Be not partakers...
-
Mark them...
-
Note them...
-
Have no company with...
-
Cast off...
-
Have no fellowship with...
-
(Do you know to WHOM those above words are referring?
or
We CAN pursue the manner in which we should be 'established'
properly ...
-
Romans 1:11 - For
I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to
the end ye may be established;
-
Romans 16:25 - Now
to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel,
and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the
mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
-
I Thessalonians 3:2 - And
sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer
in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning
your faith:
This would mean then, that we would pursue Paul, as our only apostle
and as a man.
If we choose to pursue Paul, we
would pursue his ...
-
...doctrine
-
...life experiences / persecutions
-
...ways
-
...gospel
-
...manner of life
Philippians 4:9 - Those
things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in
me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
I Corinthians 4:17 - For
this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful
in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in
Christ, as I teach every where in every church.
I Corinthians 11:1 - Be
ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
Romans 2:16 - In
the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according
to my gospel.
So Why Do I Enjoy Pursuing Paul
as Much As I Have, Do & Will?
1. It is more than marvelous to have a single source of study!
-
no greek and hebrew needed
-
no bible college
-
no pastors who claim divine unction, etc.
-
no friends opinions and their guru's teachings
-
no money needed
-
no church pressure, pastoral guilt, pretending church game, church faces,
etc.
-
no guilt from anyone, including God!
-
the KJB shuts everyone up - well, it should, anyway, if they respected
the Word of God / words of God!
-
It is a single final authority that I can't question - so I don't!
2. It is nice for me to know that Paul was a man like me!
-
(sort of, anyway - but certainly I am not like Christ, etc.Yes, Jesus was
the son of man, but he was also the son of God)
-
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not
robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took
upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And
being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient
unto death, even the death of the cross. Philippians
2:6-8
-
Paul and myself
-
similiar battles
-
accusations
-
persecution (well, not like as he states in Corinthians,
though!)
-
disappointment
-
tears
-
loses a few and wins a few (although Paul did win a lot more
than I have)
-
had a lousy past / has a great eternal future
-
his biggest enemy is himself / mine is myself
-
my joy comes from the same manner as his did - through his people
3. Paul is about showing me what 'true love' is and where I can
find it ...
-
secure
-
truthful / not flattering
-
forgiving
-
caring
-
nurturing
-
comforting
-
patient
-
longsuffering
-
charitable
-
permanent
4. Paul's doctrine, etc. is the truth that I must believe today!
-
II Thessalonians 2:13 - But
we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the
Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through
sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
-
Ephesians 1:13 -
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth,
the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were
sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
-
I Thessalonians 2:13 - For
this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received
the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the
word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which *effectually
worketh also in you that believe. (*see
bunny trail note)

note: folks who claim the effectual
fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much
are claiming a false application to a tribulation verse from the book of
James. They also add an 's' to the word 'prayer' as well as ignoring
the rest of the verse - the fact that this is all about confessing and
healing... Note verse 15
about the prayer of faith that saves the sick and confessing sins, etc.
-
I would hope that folks would understand this verse
in James isn't the 'effectual' verse they need. They need
the word of God effectually working in their lives - not the prayers
of a supposedly righteous man or woman today!
-
PS - it is ok to pray, no soubt - as Paul tells us...
but just don't claim the stuff from James.
5. Paul is the source of my finding the 'true source' of a peace
that passeth all understanding.
-
It is a 'peace from God' -
-
Romans 1:7 - ... Grace
to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.,
etc.
-
It is a 'peace with God' -
-
Romans 5:1: Therefore
being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus
Christ:
-
It is the 'peace of God' -
-
Philippians 4:7 - And
the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts
and minds through Christ Jesus.
-
Colossians 3:15 - And
let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called
in one body; and be ye thankful.
-
It is all from the 'God of peace' - by looking to Paul!
-
Philippians 4:9 - Those
things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in
me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
6. Paul leads me to riches of the full assurance
of understanding, that helps me grow up!
-
Corinthians 14:20 -
Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children,
but in understanding be men.
-
Ephesians 1:18 -
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what
is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance
in the saints,
-
Colossians 1:9 -
For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray
for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his
will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
-
Colossians 2:2 -
That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and
unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement
of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
-
II Timothy 2:7 -
Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in
all things.
-
Ephesians 4:14
- That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and
carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning
craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
7. I learn the truth about myself and why the personal battles
I still have!
-
Romans 7:15-25 - For
that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what
I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent
unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it,
but sin that dwelleth in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my
flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how
to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would
I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do
that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in
me. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present
with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But
I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and
bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O
wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself
serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
-
Philippians 3:13 - Brethren,
I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do,
forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those
things which are before,
-
Colossians 3:1-4 -
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above,
where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on
things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and
your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall
appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
8. Paul shows me how to receive eternal rewards if my pursuit
of Paul is not hindered, miss-steered, misguided, misled or corrupted!
-
I Corinthians 3:13-15 - Every
man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because
it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of
what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon,
he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he
shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
9. Paul helps me expose the devil and the religion he has created
for everyone to follow!
-
Isaiah 14:12-17
- to be like the most High!
-
II Thessalonians 2:9-12
-
Revelation 6:1-8
10. Paul gives me something 'real' to tell others I care about
- IF they realize there is something 'not right' in their own religion,
denomination, pulpits, life, thoughts, etc.
-
II Timothy 2:2 - And
the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit
thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

The
entire King James Bible is written FOR us, but obviously it is not ALL
written TO us!
We
learn from the "For" while we learn to apply the 'TO to our
everyday lives!"
These
writings of Paul are directly from the Risen Saviour to Paul...
...and
then to us through the King James Bible by the Holy Ghost!
