Wrong Right Foundation?

If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
Psalm 11:3

Paul has lain the correct foundation!
According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder,
I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon.
But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
I Corinthians 3:10,11

The Firm Foundation today is from Paul, not the Gospels!

While 'yes' it is still the same Jesus,
we need to follow the correct teachings of that Jesus to the Gentiles,
not to the Jews!

For I neither received it of men, neither was I taught it,

First Question: Do you ever wonder? Why when we do something 'wrong' - that we are NOT chastised?

everyone preaches that we will be!
better fess up for your mess up!
Yes, we can reap what we sowed, etc. but... never chastised by God!

Answer

Could it be Romans 2:5? it is all being stored up against the day of wrath and revelation fo the righteous judgment of God - you are lost?
or
Romans 2:4 - the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering - being allowed to be lead to repentence?

For the saved, the Judgment Seat of Christ has a serious purpose tomorrow and a blessing today!

sins are not judged
inheritance is not involved, either

Second question: Has God ever been good to you ANYWAY?

In spite of your hypocrisy, willful ignorance of the Scriptures; rebellion; witchcraft; covetousness; lying; laziness; mouth; selfishness; apathy; bitterness; lovers of pleasures more than lovers of Him, etc.

Has He shown you 'anything' in your Book - anyway?
Has He given you spiritual blessings - learning them - becoming aware of them - ANYWAY?

Ephesians 1:3: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

But what about those bad works - you know, those mess ups that you haven' really fessed up?
Shouldn't you QUIT doing that stuff first, you know - REPENT and then be rewarded and 'blessed' by God.

Apparantly not!

Romans 11:29,30 - For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:

'To" Jews only? read on - that is TO Gentiles, of course.

Of course, preaching / reading, etc. can and should still get us to change!

II Corinthians 7:8-10 - For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season. Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

But God has only one 'stipulations' for His GIVING repentence today.

II Timothy 2:23-26 - And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Once again, we see that the "crummies" in our life are not God dealings!
It is our choice, not His response of chastisement!

This was Paul's mission!

Acts 26:18-20 -To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

NOT works so that we can receive repentence, but meet for repentence!

meet - suitable; proper; qualified; adapted as to a purpose.

Acts 20:21 -Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

Yes - I know the next questions that will come to us when we explain this to folks - or try to, anyway. Even from the BRETHREN!

Shall we continue insin, that grace may abound?
Shall we sin, because we are not under tha law, but under grace?
ANSWER - GOD FORBID!

There is NO condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus...
Romans 8:1
And that is exactly what God means!

PS - this is what the devil 'copies' for the modern Christian - but doesn't have the sincerity and realness to it. An imtiation, remember produces imitation preachers, sermons, churches, salvation and bottom line - an imitation Christian!
