Why
Would Folks No Longer Choose to Continue in the Goodness of God?
Part
IX
I thought of one
more 'reason' folks leave. We look at Romans 7:25 and see that many
folks tend to serve the law of God with their flesh and their mind the
law of sin. Allow me to explain that to you in this sermon.
We still live our 'Christianity' in our strength. By the way, that
is exactly what modern Christianity teaches - now you see where they get
that false concept! (from the same place they get all the others, too!) |

Manner
of Life
Part I - Introduction
Along with trying to follow Paul's ways,
we have to also remember 'how' he did what he did and the difficulties
of having failure and success of those doings. Maybe some folks are
turned away not because of "what" it is that we are trying to do as we
personally try to change our lives to please God, but maybe it is the "manner"
in which we go about it.
Here is a series on the 'manner of
life' according to the Risen Saviour through the writings of Paul.
Maybe this will help us not only be aware of 'what' we are doing, but also
the 'manner' in which we are doing those things we are commanded to do. |

Part II
Tonight, we look at how Paul handled
those tribulations and battles and rejections, etc. We look specifically
at some particular experiences that we could truly learn from as we often
run across the same situations. Then, we look at Paul's purpose,
knowing that our purpose should be the same for those who we care and love,
etc. as well as anyone else. Are you perplexed AND distressed?
We shouldn't be... how did Paul do it? What is his manner of life that
we should know? The answer might help us show others the ways of
Paul. |

Dear
Despiser
This is from a great chapter in Acts
where Paul bridges the gap between the 'Great Commission' and Paul's 'Greater'
Commission as he compares his own teachings with John. These verses
are directed to despisers of Paul's gospel. |

Tonight, we look at our 'tears' for
others, making sure we are not confusing others with verses on tears from
another dispensation - as well as looking at verses geared for us having
'grace' towards certain others. |

Part VI
We look at truth towards others this
morning. The Scriptures alway mention grace before truth. If
we have truth with no grace, then we have an 'attitude' and are like Ruckmanites,
etc. If we have grace but no truth, we are like the hypers / mid-Acts,
and modern Great Commission love-all Christians, etc. Do any of them even
have the 'real Jesus' or do they have another Jesus that Paul warns about! |

Part VII
We look at the 'untouchables' - the
"nesses" that many of us seem to fail at because of our pride -Only
by pride cometh contention... Proverbs
13:10! We remind ourselves that Paul's manner of life
includes kindness, lowliness, meekness, humbleness of mind along with longsuffering,
and forbearance... |

Do we have to 'go to the throne' to
obtain the mercy of God? Do we have to beg and cry for God's mercies
today? What do we know about God's mercy today? Well, here
is what we know... |

Understanding
Romans 4-7
We read about 'sin' - not just 'sins.'
If one can grasp what Paul has to say here, it could change your life by
grasping a clear understanding about being made free from 'sin' as well
as dead to 'sin.' There are no notes to follow - just open your Bible
and follow verse by verse with us. |
